Aluminium and plastic so will last a long time. Clips together well (need to be forceful with the spool halves though). Mine came without instructions for assembly but it's easy to figure it out just by looking at the photos. Main advice is assemble the central spool first and then fit the leg holders, legs, wheel and handle last. Easily takes 50m of 1/2" hose.

Received item day before stated. Packaged well. Ideal for storing our 60m hose. Fairly sturdy, but not overly. You will need strong arms and thumbs to assemble and do follow pics carefully, but once assembled, I am quite happy with result. It is certainly fit for purpose.

Easy to put together, lightweight so easy to move on its wheels. Nice and easy to wheel up. Reasonably priced. But it is low to the ground so it does hurt my back bending. Shame the height isn’t adjustable. Otherwise great product.

Just what we wanted to store our 30m hose.- Easy to put together.- Picture instructions on the box helped.- Took me less than 10 mins to make. - Regarding putting it together - Because I have Congenital Myasthenia Syndrome i suffer from weakened muscles yet I still managed to put this together in less than 10 minutes. I felt it really wasn't that difficult.Note: Had I added the hose neatly slightly more space may have been available.

Bit of a pain to put together and you do need to cut a length of hose and connectors to go from the tap to the caddy but once built it's fairly solid and doe the trick.

Don't waste your money. it says it holds 60m I have a 50m hose pipe was not enough. It's cheap rubbish very badly made and on arrival the cylinder was damaged as well.

Lovely item that will keep your hose tidy and out of the way. It's abot light but sturdy enough to keep the hose in place.

There are many seemingly identical products on here, some of which have critical reviews. This one was easy to put together (make it even easier by lightly smearing each locking point with petroleum jelly) Do carefully follow the pictures. Once made appears sturdy enough, only time will tell how robust it is! Only 4 stars as I rarely give anything 5, there are always things that can be done better. All in all a good product.

Having broken several plastic hose reel cartss and rusted out several metal hose reels over the years, I decided to try a European version with aluminum and plastic parts that had good ratings and was listed on Amazon USA. It's made in Poland and was shipped from Amazon in Germany. It arrived at US customs in days after ordering and took almost three weeks to continue the journey by the US Postal Service to Arizona. It arrived today in a partially crushed box that had been opened and resealed at some point. The instructions for assembly are pictures on one flap of the box but, of course, I opened the crushed end of the box and didn't find them until I read a review and went back to look for them on the other end. Assembly is easy but the package doesn't include the hose quick connectors that are needed to make this function or the hose that is needed to connect the faucet to the hose reel. I went to the Cellfast website to figure it out what I needed and looked on Amazon for the Cellfast quick connectors. Two quick connects are needed, both ends of the cart connector tube are female and you need a male end for your garden hose and a male end for your hose between the faucet and the reel. Of course, they were $12 each with $20 shipping from Europe. Since spending more to connect my hose than the hose reel cost seemed counterproductive, I went to my local Home Depot and tested the male end of the European Cellfast connector with a female quick connect from Melnor (USA). It worked although the male ends of the Melnor connectors seem a touch smaller than the Cellfast ends. The Cellfast-Melnor connection may be a touch tighter but it works and doesn't leak. I suspect that at some point down the road I may need to replace the O rings but I rolled on 100 ft of 5/8 inch hose and then used a washing machine hose to connect the reel to the faucet. Tried it out and the entire assembly worked to water the garden. The hose reel cart is lightweight but seems well designed and is cheaper than the metal cart alternatives. You can buy the Melnor connectors on Amazon if your local store doesn't carry them. I'll revisit this review when I've had more experience with the hose reel.Update: Have been using for several weeks. With the Melnor connectors it works well. Cart is easy to move, no leaks and rolls up the hose with little friction. Much better than the expensive metal carts or the bulky plastic ones. I upped the star rating because it works so well.
