Really well made, pins are super strong leaves and accurate chiselling edge

It is very well made, but I was surprised by the length of it, as it is noticeably shorter than those that I have used before.However, it will be fine for the jobs that I will be doing.

It looks lovely but the moveable block and brass slide are very very stiff - I had to leave the gauge above a radiator for 3 days before I could move it.It seems like the channel that the brass slide moves in is slightly too small.It’s usable but only just, which is a real shame.

One piece either expanded or the other contracted meaning that it was completely unusable even before I had the chance to do so.Full refund given.Even if it had been of use, a rule on the long piece would have been beneficial.

A functional combined mortice gauge, but I was hoping for a better product given the price... Straight out of the packing it is fairly stiff. The stock doesn't glide smoothly along the beam. The movement of the brass slider inside the beam is a bit better. All in all, it should improve with some use (wear) and some waxing, but, out of the box, it is not in the same league as, say, an 'all metal' Veritas marking gauge... even if the price difference is not that big in effect.Of note, as finding information on this product is difficule:- All 3 pins are about 1/4" (7mm) proud of the beam and look identical (all circular). they are sharp and supposedly hardened, per the product packaging- The minimum distance between the two mortise pins is 1/4"- The beam is slightly less than 7 1/2" in length, and the maximum distance between the single marking pin and the stock is 5"- For mortises, the maximum distance between the stock and the closest pin is 1" 3/4- The thumb screw is all plastic, all the other parts are either beechwood, brass or metal (for the pins and the small screw holding the outer mortise pin).

Beautifully made in UK. Well worth the extra cost, accurate and will obviously last due to the brass components in all the key areas and hard wood construction, nice solid feel in the hand.

È un truschino combinato di buona fattura, in faggio e dal costo contenuto. Essendo combinato permette di usarlo sia per marcare il legno con un singolo pin, che marcare i bordi di mortase e tenoni con il pin doppio. I pin sono affilati e dritti. La vite purtroppo è di plastica, ma non ho notato problemi durante l'utilizzo.

Ho preso questo graffietto e sono soddisfatto. Molto comodo per le mortase perché ha un doppio graffietto su un lato e uno singolo sull'altro. Non metto la quinta stella per questo fatto che da far scorrere è molto duro ed è un peccato. Sarebbe stato il perfetto graffietto.

Fatto molto bene. Ottimo per tracciatura singola e doppia. Aiuta molto per fare lavori di precisione con il legno. Si consiglia l’acquisto anche ai pignoli.
