Expand your experience
I have watched cooking shows where chefs routinely make homemade pasta with little effort. Those who dare make a pasta dish with prepackaged dry pasta…. I have made my own homemade pasta in the past without the benefit of any kind of adjustable roller. Rolling out dough between two sheets of parchment and with a rolling pin produces noodles that are thicker than you can get with an adjustable roller.Since I have a KitchenAid stand mixer, the “Gdrtwwh” pasta roller was a good addition to my kitchen equipment and experience level. I made the dough, by hand, using a standard recipe (with semolina pasta flour), let it rest, flattened it out for rolling, but the sheet coming out of the roller had voids and seemed drier than it should have been. Pulling it back into a mass of dough and with a little more kneading helped and then it started coming together. That flat sheet (as seen on TV!) was durable enough to be handled like a pro.As I let it go through the noodle lattice roller, it did not seem to slice fully through the sheet, but the noodles could be separated by hand. (I neglected to flour the sheet prior to the lattice roller, I think a slightly drier outside surface would have helped produce noodles that were fully separated). The results were impressive to me. And, the “spaghetti and meatballs” was excellent. For cleaning they recommend letting the rollers dry out then brushing out any bits of flour or dough remaining. The directions say “no water immersion”. The prescribed cleaning method worked just fine. This pasta roller may not totally eliminate my use of prepackaged dried pasta, but it certainly is a great addition to my kitchen equipment. I definitely plan on using the roller mechanism in a similar fashion to my fully manual method….laying out the rolled sheet and rough cutting noodles or using the provided fettucine cutter. There are more expensive KitchenAid accessories for making pasta, but this one is perfectly adequate. Great value. Recommended.

Pasta making made easier
Wow, I am in love with this Kitchen Aid pasta roller attachment. I really wasn't sure if it would work on our old Kitchen Aid Accolade but it does, it fits perfectly. It's super simple to install, it just slides into the attachment slot and is secured with the Kitchen Aid's attachment screw. I've made pasta before, both by hand and with a expensive hand crank machine, by the time I was done my hands were cramped and swollen, the attachment makes it super easy and pain free to make a large batch of pasta. I was able to take my dough all the way to the thinnest setting for ravioli.

Good quality.
I expanded my KitchenAid Stand Mixer's capabilities with a set of 3 attachments specifically for pasta making. There's a roller that turns out 5.5-inch sheets of pasta, adjustable across 8 thickness settings to get the perfect dough. The set also includes a pasta cutter attachment and a noodle lattice roller, which are fantastic for creating various pasta shapes.I'm impressed by the quality of these attachments. They're made of good quality metal, which gives them a sturdy feel and the promise of longevity. The craftsmanship is excellent, with attention to detail that makes them fit seamlessly with the mixer. Using them has been a breeze, too. They attach easily, and the operation is quite intuitive. It's made pasta making an enjoyable and much less daunting task. There's something special about homemade pasta, and with these attachments, it's a process I look forward to.

Rollers have good craftsmanship but cutter is a bit flimsy
The two rollers are well-made with no obvious defects. They have smooth contours and seem quite sturdy. The cutter on the other hand feels a bit flimsy. The blades are thin metal disks that do not feel particularly durable. However, with a bit of care, it should still last a while. At around $100, this set is not too bad but some competing brands offer three rollers (with two different widths of pasta instead of one) for the same price. However, I have not tried those so cannot say if they are of equal quality.

Great Quality - great add on
I was impressed by the quality of the pasta roller. I've previously used a dedicated pasta making machine to make fresh pasta and this was pretty much just as easy. It attached easily into my KitchenAid machine, and there was no looseness or imperfection that you may get when you use a non oem part

I Learned Something New
I used this to learn houlw to make my own pasta and it was a wonderful experience that I will continue to do in the future. The roller takes a lot of the hand work out of kneading the dough, which my arms and shoulders appreciate. The roller has a pretty quiet operation, no louder than using any other mixer attachment. The hand held cutter works good and the attachment cutter works even better. If you never made your own pasta, this is a great purchase to make that happen.
