When I first saw this crucifix, I thought it looked absolutely beautiful and very detailed, so I decided to order it. I'm very pleased to say that this crucifix looks just as highly detailed and beautiful in person as it does on the listing. I've had issues in the past where some items don't look anything like they're advertised, so I'm always a little hesitant about ordering something that looks too "good," but I'm very glad to have gone with my gut on this one. I'm very impressed with how detailed Jesus is, that I can overlook how very thin and not detailed the cross looks in comparison (though I believe they put the focus and detail exactly where it needed to be).Overall, I would definitely recommend this antique brass crucifix to anyone. This crucifix is large enough to be seen across the room, is very highly detailed, has a nice substantial weight, and looks perfect in front of my Psalms 2024 calendar (each month will provide a beautiful background for my crucifix and a daily reminder of Jesus and what He did to save us all from sin).

I’ve been wanting something that looked high quality but without being too ornate to display in a dorm room. This is perfect! It’s a good size—not too big but not too small, and it can actually hang on a small command hook (important as I don’t want to put nails in the wall). I put a reference picture with my hand and a holy card, so you can see it’s not huge or overly small.It doesn’t look cheap, and the metal is a good mix of modern chic and antique patina. The back of the sculpture of Jesus is hollow, but it is beautifully detailed and quite hefty; it does not feel light or flimsy. And it’s hard to read, but it does have “inri” above Jesus’ head. The cross itself is plain and unadorned.I do prefer crucifixes with a more detailed cross, but that’s just personal preference. This is a high quality crucifix that will be just what we need in a dorm room.

I grew up in a family that always hung a crucifix above a very commonly-used cased opening between two rooms. The idea is that nearly everyone who enters the home will pass under the crucifix. I was raised to believe that the house and its occupants/visitors were blessed by doing so- and that we should look at the crucifix daily as a reminder of the importance of sacrifice.This metal crucifix is beautiful, understated and the perfect size to fit above most of my internal doorways. This crucifix measures 10 inches in height and fits right above most of my internal doorways easily...with room to spare. I started getting compliments on this crucifix as soon as I put it up.
