From the critically acclaimed author of Something to Talk About comes Meryl Wilsner's Mistakes Were Made, a sharp and sexy rom-com about a college senior who accidentally hooks up with her best friend’s mom. When Cassie Klein goes to an off-campus bar to escape her school’s Family Weekend, she isn’t looking for a hookup—it just happens. Buying a drink for a stranger turns into what should be an uncomplicated, amazing one-night stand. But then the next morning rolls around and her friend drags her along to meet her mom—the hot, older woman Cassie slept with.Erin Bennett came to Family Weekend to get closer to her daughter, not have a one-night stand with a college senior. In her defense, she hadn’t known Cassie was a student when they'd met. To make things worse, Erin’s daughter brings Cassie to breakfast the next morning. And despite Erin's better judgement—how could sleeping with your daughter’s friend be anything but bad?—she and Cassie get along in the day just as well as they did last night. What should have been a one-time fling quickly proves impossible to ignore, and soon Cassie and Erin are sneaking around. Worst of all, they start to realize they have something real. But is being honest about the love between them worth the cost? Review: I love this book! - I have a hate/love relationship with this book. the tension, the romance, the smut start on the first page and gets better from there. Cassie and Erin’s relationship is so sweet but complicated but to me it’s written in a way that makes you go “if my friend told me this was how her love life is I’d believe it”. The hate part comes into play because now I want to read every book on the market with age gap tropes like this one, which previously I hated (probs cause men aren’t my thing). But if you loved any of Wilsner's other books you are bound to absolutely love this one! its a must on your sapphic bookshelf and a need for your romance heart. Review: The best ever - I’m not a fan of modern romance novels at all because let’s be honest 80% of them have no chemistry. But this one literally had everything and kept me wanting more the whole way through, I loved everything about the characters and their relationship so much, was a very funny novel as well so as much as the romance kept me happy they constant banging Parker’s mom jokes did as well. Fantastic writing, the age gap wasn’t as bad as I thought it was going to be even though I was excited for it. So if you are worried about that there is not too much specific talk about the age gap besides from the obvious, it’s not used in a sexual way

Smutty, Sapphic read
It's a sweet page turner with a happy ending! *Spoiler Alert* While it's about the love between 2 women, for me, it also raises the question about the age of people in love. Considering that the age difference between the main characters is huge, is it essentially bad? (Just like the dilemma in The Idea of You) But I am glad that it ended well because it is high time that things like age don't matter when people are in love.

This book was incredibly funny and clever and hot. I loved every second of it and cannot wait till my friends read it so i can yell about it with them. Will be getting the other books from the same writer as well! Awesome story to just get pulled into and forget about your surroundings!

Amei demais
