Best hooks I've found so far
I crochet 1-3 hours per day usually. These hooks are a dream to use and my absolute favorite.

totally worth it
I love this hook, it is the most I have ever spent on a single hook and I am happy that I did it! It is a new size for me to use since I have mainly used a lot 5 mm but I like this a lot better. It is smooth and comfortable, glides through the yarn perfectly.

It was great til my cat chewed it up
Normally I use clover armour but decided to try this .. my first tulip hook. I LOVED IT!!!! I got 4.0 which is my most commonly used size for acrylic. I would say it’s slightly different than clover armour primarily on the handle part, but the yarn slide on the hook itself is about the same amount of smoothness (far superior to all others I’ve ever tried).Unfortunatelyyyyyyyy my cat chewed up the hook so it’s kinda ruined on the pink part and it affects my ability to use it normally. Needless to say im so sad 😔. So this is your reminder if you have cute but sometimes naughty pets: dont leave your favorite hooks on the coffee table.

Thoughtfully designed. As others have said, worth the price.
I am a longtime crocheter. I have many hooks. I needed a replacement for a size I use often, 4.5mm. I’ve been a fan of Susan Bates bamboo-handled hooks for years, but sometimes the hook becomes detached from the base, and I’ve had little luck glueing them back in and getting them to stay intact.I wondered if there was a better, more ergonomically-designed hook that would stand up to my frequent use. I saw this Tulip hook and read the reviews. I was taken aback by the price but thought I’d try it and return it if I didn’t like it. I will not be returning this hook - in fact, I will get more in different sizes. The hook’s head is narrowed for easy stitch placement without the sharp edges I’ve had to file down on other hooks. The design of the handle is perfect - it makes the stitch flow easier and faster, with neater results. I hope the hooks don’t loosen from the base over time.If you crochet as much as I do (year-round), consider these hooks a good investment in your craft.

Buy these hooks!
A crochet hook is just a crochet hook, right? But they are NOT all created equal.I have been using Bates for years - arthritis in my hands forced me to try something new- and yes- I tried the Bates with the black handle. No real difference in my hand pain level.I purchased 1 Tulip hook to try out 2 days ago.Yesterday I ordered 3 more. How are they different?1. Silicone handle with flat area to rest thumb. This makes the smaller hooks easier to hold and I can crochet longer, without pain.2. Hook is shaped a little more pointy on top. So, easier to push into stitches.3. Hook opening has a bit more metal , making the hook area slightly deeper. I don’t drop as many stitches!4. Really smooth metal. Yarn slides easily and doesn’t separate anywhere near as much as it does when I use Bates!Three times the cost;Saves my hands, the yarn and my time - I can crochet so much faster.Wish I had tried these before. I will slowly replace what I have with these.
