Great gloves works well on phones and in really cold weather,,,
I bought these gloves for my husband and was a little worried based on a couple reviews but I went with since most were good. He LOVES these gloves. Now he is not a hard core outside worker but he uses them most days to cut up firewood and work on stuff in the garage. He has had them about a month now and they still look great. I've even washed them twice. Over all I am so happy that I bought theses and so is my husband! As for the glove them selves, they are well built and very fictional. The tips of the gloves work great to use the phone, I never have any problems with them connecting even when it's cold. There is an option to cut the tips of the 3 main fingers (along the red line in picture) and it will fold open so you can use your fingers tips and then they will fold back closed. I am not real sure of the use for this, I guess if you needed to be able to feel things more carefully?? I don't know but it is a really cool feature. The design is great for working or doing things because they flex with your hands. They have held up to a few washes and the icy cold weather of Colorado this year.... They can also be worn when it is warmer and you just need a work glove... I will be buying another pair as back up since they work so well!! Oh and don't worry about packaging they come like they are fragile and could break lol ( I thought I would show their "amazing" over packaging just for fun) ;-)

Customer Leathercraft 130XXL great fit, very good dexterity.
At this time, I have to give them 5 stars. They arrived on time and fit like a glove. Not a lot of gloves are available in 2XL, but these fit perfectly. It takes a little while to get used to the velcro wrist strap, but when these are on, they aren't moving. Dexterity is very good. I didn't think there was any real leather in them, but there may be since my neighbor's dog loves to chew on them while I am trying to pet her while wearing them. They appear to be well made, durable, and offer good protection. If that proves not to be true, I will post an update. So far, I am very happy with them.

After 7 months, they're still going strong.
Pros - Correct sizing -- no weird finger length issues I've come across with other gloves - Comfortable once broken in. - Finger material has held up pretty well so far. - Velcro wrist band continues to work. - Didn't realize how much I use the "sweat band" material on the back of thumb, I simply love it! - Repels odor despite constant use - Washable -- they get a bit stiff from 4-5 days of constant use, but if you throw 'em in with some laundry, then they'll get back to soft with a single wash. Cons: - Not a fan of Velcro anything. - Could use a bit more padding down the back of the hand. - One of the layers on the right-hand index and middle fingers has disintegrated. Other thoughts: - These are my go-to gloves. I just wish they were a bit more durable in the fingers. Thankfully, they come with a second layer, so I added some hockey stick tape over the existing material to extend the life of the gloves.

Best work gloves I ever bought!
These gloves live up to their full description. The exta pads and reinforcements in this design have made home improvements and yard work a whole lot easier. They offer a whole lot of protection, while providing a very comfortable and secure fit. Plus, they have already outlasted every pair of gloves I had used in the past. For all the landscaping and construction jobs that I have done over the past 30 years, I can honestly say that these are the best work gloves that I have ever bought. I highly recommend these gloves for the do it yourself homeowner, as well as, professional contractors. You will definately see and feel the difference you've been looking for.

which means I wear them for everything except moving concrete blocks and other super abrasive projects (I wear five dollar leath
I'm very tough on gloves and when Home Depot dumped CLC I tried all the other major brands at the big box stores, including the ones everyone raves about. None of them fit well or lasted long. Maybe it's just me but they had seams in unfortunate places and some literally got shredded after only one day. Yes. Eventually I started ordering CLC over Amazon. CLC is the only brand I could find that's tough enough to be called a work glove and also perfectly fits me. The CLC Contractor Gloves are medium-duty, lightweight gloves that I wear for everything that requires protection and some dexterity, which means I wear them for everything except moving concrete blocks and other super abrasive projects (I wear five dollar leather work gloves for that stuff). They're double-stitched at crucial points and the material is double-layered on the fingertips, but not so thick you can't feel anything. I find I can keep using them once the first layer fails, I just trim away the frayed first layer and then I'm more careful what I grab. Once the second layer fails I dump them, but believe me, these gloves last a LONG time. The internal padding is well-placed so there's lots of flexibility and dexterity. The non-contact areas are breathable mesh so my hands don't get hot even in very hot weather. I haven't had problems with melting or poor materials as other guys have posted here... I don't get it, but whatever. Your mileage may vary with regard to fit, but aside from that these are the best you'll find.

best gloves ever?
These are amazing. Im killer on gloves. The best i get on a pair is a couple weeks before splits and tears occur. I endup using super glue to repair thembut eventually they give up the ghost. Not these babies. I have run over 10 pounds of deck screw thru these and have beaten the daylights out of these building a12' by 36' covered deck. These still look like new and are only getting more comfortable. At first these seemed tight but after a couple hours use they seem to have broken in. The padding is great and running powertools is so much more comfortable. My only complaint is that they are a bit warm inthe summer sun. I cant wait to try these out with the chainsaw Update. Well im still on my original pair. They have been to heck and back. I build my entire 12 by 36 foot cover porch with these. Thats everything from removing the bushes and tearing down the old steps to digging the post holes screwing together the deck and putting on a steel roof. Over 3 months of abuse in the evenings and weekends. The gloves would get soaked in the rain and be bakedd in the 100 plus degree steel roof. Well over 100 lbs of pt wood screws and sawing until my arms wanted to fall off. These gloves never missed a beat. The index finger on the left hand has just started to wear thru the first layer of material, other than that they are like new. I ordered a new pair cause they were on sale and the new ones are built as good as my original pair. I love these gloves

These are my favorite industrial gloves
I bought my first pair of the CLC Subcontractor gloves at a Home Depot or Lowe's about four years ago. What I liked about these gloves was that the thumb and forefinger are stitched just below the first knuckle so that you can cut the fingertip off for a little more dexterity when wiring electrical panels and/or terminating control wiring into terminals. Yet they were still rugged enough to handle steel and protect your hands. The first pair i owned lasted through years of abuse but when it was finally time to replace them, I couldn't find them at any of the big box stores. When I saw them on Amazon, I immediately bought a pair. This time they only lasted a month before the stitching came loose and the glove fell apart. I went back to my original four year old pair of Subcontractors which while raggedy and beat up are still better than the new pair. I'm half tempted to try again with another pair but I'm afraid they don't make them like they used to. Update: 2/27/18- on my third or fourth pair. Considering the fact that I abuse these gloves more than the average user, I upgraded to 4 stars. I get about 6 months of use before I have to replace due to wear and tear.

Recent changes are not improvements
I bought the same model of gloves about 5 years ago and abused them thoroughly. I welded in them, wore them daily, never washed them, handled chemicals and abrasive materials , all sorts of stupidity. They handled it all, and eventually failed after a solid 4 years of service. I used a different model of CLCs (gel pro framers) for a while, as my work changed, but when my current position called for new gloves, I knew exactly where to turn. CLC is using a different material for the palm and it is not good. The old pair I had from 2008 had a 'clarino synthetic leather' palm and it was grippy and wore for a good long time. The new material is soft and cloth like; they call it 'syntrex', almost like a micro terry cloth or something, and is very slippery, especially on wooden handled tools and carrying anything smooth. They still fit very well and have great dexterity and have the awesome dirt/sweat wiping terrycloth patch on the thumb, but grip is so essential when it comes to gloves, I hesitate to give it a full 3 stars, a slippery glove carrying heavy steel truss is a dangerous glove.
