The New Real Book Volume 2 (Bb Version): Bb Edition

I bought all the series: The New Real Book 1-3 by Sher Music Co. and the Real Book Vol. 1-6. Hoping that the "new" series would include swing songs that were not in Hal Leoanard's. Not so. (1) There is nothing new or what I'd like to play as a guitarist (2) The chord font is not very legible - should be thick like in The Real Book Volumes (3) there are obscure songs that hardly can be called "jazz tandards"Waste of money

Excellent layout and typeface. A very well thought out book with a great selection of songs. Every musician should have these series of books with the Jazz standards and contemporary songs. It's now my go to reference.

Sher Music make the best, most readable and most accurate fake/real books out there. Can't understand the negative reviews on the US site - what exactly are they comparing it to? The Hal Leonard real books are a bit cheaper, but it only takes a couple of gigs and the plastic comb they use to bind the pages starts to tear up the covers and pages. These Sher offerings are always SPIRAL-bound, which is the most practical system for musicians to use. I have been using this book regularly for six months now, and it still looks almost new. Money well spent!
