But then the glass component is easy to replace, so not a big deal. I prefer the nebulizer (waterless) over the ultrasonic (use water) diffusers because it's more pure and I find they last longer too and stay cleaner. Overall I love love love this diffuser. Tried the instructions for cleaning and only use only pure Lavender oil. Still not working. Not returnable and have not heard re an exchange, or anything, from the company. Have used 2 inexpensive units that worked for well over 18 mos each and were replaced because I accidentally dropped them.
