Bought this in both the navy and burgundy to compare, as I needed a guest dress to wear to a wedding; the burgundy ended up being the best color for me, but rest assured, both fit the same exact way. This dress is a dupe of a Betsy & Adam dress. It isn’t lined, but the B&A dress is only lined in the respect that their fabric has a backer (you can still see the inside seams though), so not much of a difference — and the price of this one is much less than the B&A. I was very pleased with the quality, and it looked good on. The fabric is thick enough that I did not need to wear a shaper, but you can if you want. I wore my regular bra with it just fine! Also, the length is great for petite women because the back touches the floor while the front is slightly raised/split to offer a glimpse of leg. For tall ladies, the back will be ankle length. Because of the split/raise in the front, both floor and ankle length works well for petite and tall women. I love that I did not need to get it hemmed; I’m 5’4” and wore 2.75 inch heels and it was perfect for me. While form fitting, it does not accentuate the stomach because of the twist and ruffle design on the front, which is wonderful. My only concern: the twist part starts high up on the bodice. I am long-waisted, and it would have looked better on me if that twist started a little lower under the bust and more mid-waist. Other than that, 5/5 stars.

Very nice dress at a great price. I'm 70, 5'4", 140 lbs, with a large bust so ordered the recommended XL which is perfect for me. Provides good coverage front and back, unlike lots of dresses. Even so, at my age the front V neck is lower than I prefer, so I'm wearing a black shapewear camisole which looks fine (not sheer/underwear-looking) and gives it sort of a Grecian-style neckline. Length could be about half an inch shorter to be ideal for me, but not a problem. Going on a cruise with multiple formal dinner opportunities, so want to take only one black dress where I can change up the look with different wraps and accessories but not have to overpack all kinds of stuff. I tried multiple dresses from various vendors, but this one really was the best fit, length (many were way too long), style, quality, and value. One negative was the packaging: came "folded" (not carefully) and stuffed in an approximately 9x13-inch bag, so fairly wrinkled, though I can fix that with my steamer. Otherwise recommended.

This black dress was nice and thick, making it very comfortable to wear. I originally ordered it for a last-minute cruise, but I ended up preferring a different dress. That said, it would have kept me warm enough, and it had a good amount of stretch for a flattering fit. Overall, a solid option if you're looking for comfort and warmth.

I'm 5 ft 7 in, 148 pounds, pear-shaped, age 58. I wear a size 8, and I got this dress in Medium, Dark Green. It fit me perfectly, as if made just for me. I needed a last-minute Mother of the Bride dress after failing to find one in other places. I have 4 more-expensive dresses in my closet, still with tags, that did not look good at all -- unflattering and matronly. After dinner, I threw off the shrug and danced in it for a few hours too. It was so comfortable, I didn't want to take it off -- and normally I hate wearing dresses. Tons of compliments. Why did you pick this product vs others?:For reference.... I'm 5'7" and am 165-170lbs, ordered a large. This dress is amazing. I'm a mom of 8. Not a whole lot makes you feel beautiful after that. :) BUT this dress!!! It covers all the right areas, is form fitting but not too much, the material has some stretch to it making it extremely comfortable. Absolutely will buy again in another color for future events.

Just received my item a few minutes ago. The dress was so poorly packaged, could tell someone returned it. Deodorant stains, unzipped and just thrown into a bag. I read the tag - handwash warm, no rinsing (what the heck does that mean)? Anyway, fit is pretty good and true to size. I'm 5'8" and about 186lbs, ordered an XL.Did anyone, when hand washing, experience the color coming off? I ordered in black and used a mild detergent, as recommended, in a bucket and the water was totally black. Hopefully after it dries it is still ok. But curious if anyone else experienced the same.

Dress was absolutely perfect for a wedding. The fit was perfect, I’m about 200lb with large chest , bought the XL and it fit beautifully. It was very comfortable and looked great with shimmery nude shoes and gold jewelry. The color is very pretty. I would definitely recommend and would buy in a different color for future occasions. Material was not thin but not thick, it was just what you’d want in a dress. I never write reviews but I know how hard it is to buy a dress online. This one is an easy choice!

Tried on a similar dress in a department store that had a price tag almost $200 more than this. So of course I came here to see if I could find something similar. Honestly, I like this way better. The material is surprisingly substantial and the ruffles stand up nicely. I’m 5’4” and without heels it’s at the floor, so nice since usually long dresses that aren’t petite sizing are way too long for me. Amazon recommended a size XL, but I ordered a medium. It’s a tad snug (but fits) but I’m still in the process of losing weight so I’m sure it’ll be a little less so by the time my event rolls around. Definitely well worth the money, I feel really beautiful in it.
