Looks amazing! Went a little heavy on the oil, but nothing that can't be taken care of. The blade does have a couple nicks out of the edge from when they sharpened it, but all in all beautiful piece!

I bought this to go with my ceremonial kilt for solo bagpiping. Never intended it for self defense. However, it's a nice blade, pretty easy to sharpen, well done overall. If I get attacked by an angry violinist, I will revise my review.

Won't be disappointed, this thing is absolutely stunning to look at...so glad the dirk is no every day user, as I don't want to tarnish this beautiful piece. LOVE IT!

Four stars because of the sheath. The knife is great, has a good feel in the hand. The sheath could use some help. It has a snap retaining strap and the snap can scratch and abrade the handle. It also has a snap on the closure to put it on a belt. I'd prefer a different method that wouldn't scratch the handle or grind on my belt leather.

The knife has an interesting Damascus pattern. Just for looks in general it is an eye catching piece.Came reasonably sharp. It didn't look very sharp at first glance, but I took a swing at a pool noodle and was pleasantly surprised. The grip has a beautiful wood finish that feels good to hold. It's pretty light and not "too" large to be used as a self defense weapon. I imagine this would do some serious damage if you needed it to.For the price, this is a steal. I have other knives and swords that cost significantly more than this that dont come as sharp, nor feel as comfortable to use. I dont know how it would hold together with heavy use, but I don't plan to try to cut down any trees with it.

Started rusting on both sides of the blade within 2 months as a display piece, even when spending most of its time in the sheath. Also too heavy to function the way it should. Looks cool and is sturdy.

I spent about $50 on this dirk, and for the price I’m really happy. The Damascus is beautiful and it’s a solid, straight edge. The sheath is a big load of rubbish and the dirk doesn’t even seat all the way in, but I’ll make a new sheath later.

This dagger is amazing! Absolutely perfect. Well made. Beautiful Damascus etching. Just exactly what I wanted to wear with my kilt! A1 quality item! It doesn't deserve 5 stars. It deserves 10 stars!
