This frame is a super cute keepsake! I would recommend waiting until your baby is a bit older to do it. We did the hand and foot print when she was about 1 month, and it was a process! We had to keep redoing it cause we just couldn't get her to lay her hand flat. The dowel they give you to roll out the clay is small, and ours wasn't completely rounds since it had a flat side. The clay is kinda cheap and cracked easy when getting it ready for the imprint and was impossible to roll out flat. Once we got everything nice and smooth though, we didnt end up getting nice prints. They're a little shallow, but that is more our fault than the kits fault. The kit comes with with a few photo frames so you can pick which saying you want. We went with the cardstock frame that said "love at first sight" to go with an amazing photo a family member took the day she was born at the hospital when dad was holding her. We definitely love this little keepsake

I ordered this for a neighbor having their first child. If I can offer a few hints to help out. Follow the directions to the letter. Go over the directions several times. Lay EVERYTHING out, FIRST. Some folks like to wait till the baby is a few months older. But it is up to you. Also, there is some different colors of paint. Or you can get your own. Some folks have used pink or blue, for the obvious reason. Others have used gold. When my son was born, I also was VERY careful & had our dog's paw print & our cat's paw print, PLUS (ALWAYS A PLUS, LOL) either a grand-parent or BETTER YET, if you are lucky enough to have a GREAT GRAND PARENT, THEN, HOW LUCKY YOU ARE !! That is why I say to make several "DRY RUNS". Lay EVERYTHING OUT & go over EVERYTHING> Even though, this kit is very reasonable in price, NOT everyone can afford to order two, three or even more. If you are very careful, you ACTUALLY can fit your baby, 's both feet, both hands, one pet print, even one dog or one pet, a grandparent thumb, a great grand parent. The possibilities are endless. OPPS !! Sounds like a bank commercial. Finally, Have some kind of oil handy, (NO, not THAT kind, LOL) I would say google what kind. Because the mixture will harden very quickly, which is why I suggest have several "dry runs". This is something Thirty, Forty or Fifty yrs from now, you will look back at this. Not to mention, so MANY things can happen and do. BELIEVE ME, no one KNOWS this BETTER than I. BTW, the two questions down below in the title, WILL BE ASKED OF YOU, MAKE NO MISTAKE ABOUT THAT. Your little bundles of joy will make the mistake of growing up. So, be ready for it, LOL !!

Its a nice gift but not easy to create took my hubby and me a while and it was not easy to place our babys hand because was in fist. The coloring is also not too easy but its manageable. Would I buy it again Yes
