Not water proof
Gave this to my son on Easter. It randomly stopped working so I decided to go change the batteries and the batteries were ruined and leaking everywhere.

I wouldn’t buy again
I saw someone else mention that this item wasn’t waterproof and they weren’t lying. My child loved playing with this toy but it stopped working after a week or so. Eventually I took it apart to see what was wrong with it and as you can see, water got inside the battery compartment.

Water fills easily into submarine
Constantly fills up on the inside!! Rusts up and rarely works. It has to be taken apart and dried! Totally not a sealed product for water!

Battery compartment leaks, goes through batteries FAST, but excellent toy overall.
For the price, its an excellent toy. I haven't been able to find any comparable, automatic boat toys. All the others are either wind-up or remote controlled.That said, it has some major issues.The battery compartment leaks, and leaked from the first use. Every time we have to change the batteries, the compartment it wet. The battery contacts rust quickly.The boat requires 3 AAA batteries, and runs through brand new batteries FAST. There is no way to turn the toy off. If it's in the water, the sensors turn it on. New, single-use batteries last around 2-3 hours. Rechargeable batteries last around 2 hours.

It's not waterproof
A dangerous toy! Initially the boat worked in the bath, but when I grabbed it in the evening a brown water was going out - the water got into the batteries and caused an acid leak. The lid was screwed on properly but it showed up this cannot be used in the water - so it's useless now.

Steer clear
Seeing how this is a toy for kids in the bathtub, I suggest never buying this. It is not waterproof therefore the battery inside exploded. No one hurt, but it is a hazard.

Not the best
At first it was fun my son loved it. But then the first one quit working. So i got a replacement but after a few days it quit so i sent it back. I wouldn't buy again

1 month update
This can’t be too good for my baby who is less than 1 year old. Needs a better typer of sealant to prevent the rusting from mixing with my baby’s bath water and contaminating it. Maybe a rubber seal rather than 2 tiny screws that are rusting themselves. Let air dry after every use and still rusted.
