This machine is uncomplicated and easy to understand and use. Makes really good tasting drinks. Will purchase again.

I bought this since I am a novice to make espresso. But with all that said this machine make a awesome cup of coffee. Makes a awesome espresso and cappuccino. Very simple machine. Frothing wand works as it should. No complaints here. I even purchased on for my son. They love it.

Not sure if I got a defective one but this is the worst espresso I’ve ever had. I’ve always gotten a cheap $40 latte maker which made my coffees nice and strong and for a cheap price. I decided to upgrade after trying my dads espresso maker and researched Gevi as being a really good brand. I’ve made two lattes so far and thought maybe the first one, I packed the coffee grinds too tight, but each time the espresso came out nearly white (foam) with a hint of coffee and mainly water/foam. I’m super disappointed. 4 shots tasted like the clearing of the excess water from my cheap, old latter maker. The whole point was the convenience of the preset buttons otherwise maybe there’s a better option using the manual button but then it defeats the purpose of this style.

I purchased this for my husband for Christmas. He has been really into macchiatos lately. So I didn’t want to spend too much on a machine since this is our first go at an espresso machine. This one was perfect for what I was looking for. It’s easy to use (read the instructions), the porta filter is hard to get in but that’s a good thing, and it matches my other counter appliances nicely. We’ve been using it everyday for a little over a week. No issues at all so far. We absolutely love it. If your on the fence about purchasing I say GIVE IT A TRY :)

For the price, the unit is decent. It’s fairly easy to use. I did like the “manual” button to make my Red Eye / Americano.While you get a decent creame … the flavor is a little diluted. I tried different levels of “fine” but the supplied tamper isn’t designed to give you an even force distribution.For me … a pour over was just easier to do for what I was getting. If you’re just starting out and you don’t want a bulky unit, this is a good starter. Doesn’t take up much counter space and pretty straightforward.Alas for me, I did end up returning the unit. An easy process with the seller. If you wanna make espresso drinks and not give your money to Charbucks, this unit will work for you.

We fell in love with Cafe Americano in Italy but trying to make our own is very tricky. We have not been very successful. There are so many moving parts. Is the water hot enough? Is it the proper coffee grind? Did I run it too long or short? Did I tamp it hard enough not hard enough? The portofilter never has a puck, coffee grounds are loose and there is water on top. We are still experimenting. Have only had it a couple of weeks.

Never had an espresso machine so can't compare to others. However, I love it! It took a few times for me to get the hang of it as I am a novice. It is awesome - easy to clean and great tasting espresso. For the price (I got it on sale) it is awesome!

Easy setup, easy first Americano. Parts are a little flimsy but they work well. For the money, it makes a GREAT cup of espresso.
