Bubble Bath

As a perpetually busy Mom, finding time for myself feels like a luxury. Stumbling upon this gem has been an absolute game changer in my chaotic routine.Let's talk about the real hero here: magnesium. Unfortunately, you have to use half the bottle to get a few bubbles.

This bubble bath comes in a glass bottle with a little charm attached. The bottle contains 4.5 ounces. The first difficulty occurs when you unscrew the cap to it and discover that the plastic cork is quite difficult to remove unless you have very strong fingernails. I don't.I added the recommended 2 capfuls to hot running bathwater and was a bit dismayed at the lack of bubbles. Only a very thin layer that completely went away when I stepped into the tub. I added more capfuls but it did not correct that issue. Also the scent of lavender did not come through as I smelt only the vanilla.The solution is thick and even though I soaked in the hot water for a long time, it did not dry out my skin. For the cost of this, however, I do expect a ton more scent and bubbles.

I think anyone who likes bubble baths would enjoy this. It is beautiful for a gift, very nicely bottled and packaged. The smell is strong, but not too strong, and it's a universally good smell. I think it's priced a tad high for the size it is, so I don't think I'd regularly buy it for myself, but as a one-time gift it is perfect. It is very bubbly and you don't have to use very much to get a nice bath, but I still think it will run out kind of fast for the price. Also, when I opened the cap, there is some kind of seal beneath it covering the hole, I think maybe to keep it from leaking. It was extremely difficult to remove. I ended up using a pocket knife and needle nosed pliers and finally got it off. I'm not sure if that was a manufacturing glitch on their end, or if I'm missing something obvious, but just beware if you're giving it to someone really old or who otherwise might have trouble removing it.

I really dislike a strong lavender scent, so I was anticipating that I wouldn't really enjoy the scent of this product - boy was I wrong. I immediately fell in love with the creamy vanilla custard scent with just a slight hint of lavender (the way it really should be with lavender in my opinion, since it is such a heavy and powerful scent to begin with). Also, even though the bottle appears to be smaller, this product is mighty and a very little bit goes a long way for a bubbly kind of bubble bath, not a slightly foamy one. I can say I'll probably be enjoying this product more than my usual bubble bath products for a while to come.

The packaging for this bubble bath, sorry, POTION, is over the top. The box is very sturdy but then also reinforced. I'm not sure what the bottle is made of - not plastic, not glass. Very thick. It's really nice, but to what end? Maybe if they didn't have product writing on it, or if they had a way to remove the product writing so that it was reusable, the fancy bottle would be worth the effort. I'm not even sure it whatever this is made of is recyclable. And it won't be long before you have to recycle it. It's a small bottle, which instructions that indicate to use "a generous amount" for your bath. What does that even mean? A bottle this small at a price point this high, I should not have to use more than a cap full. The ribbon around the neck of the bottle has a fancy metal charm - but again, to what end? I have nothing I can do with it. Again - fancy for the sake of fancy.As for the product itself, I used one capfull and the bubbles were a disappointment. Even after I turned on the jets, which usually results in a comic amount of bubbles, they were still a disappointment. The scent is fine, but it's lavender so there's nothing so special about it. Also, kind of weak. I hate to keep going back to the price, but at this level I would expect the entire bathroom to smell like lavender every time I open the bottle. It's just not there.

Okay, this smells SO NICE. I wish it was a bigger bottle though. It is a concentrate, so a little goes a long way, but even still- it's a pretty tiny bottle. I also took the charm off pretty much right away, as many other people have mentioned, it's not really the type of charm that looks luxurious. That being said, the bottle feels nice quality, the packaging it comes in is very gift-able, and the scent is LOVELY. If you know someone who loves taking a soak, this would make a very nice gift!
