TFADostmann Style Thermo-Hygrometer

I bought this one because of the aesthetics and because it has a clock, a lot of hygrometers are just plain ugly and industrial looking but this one doesn't look out of place in a new modern bathroom. It appears to be accurate although it seems to be super sensitive compared to another TFA hygrometer I have of a different design. If the shower is on the humidity will quickly shoot up to 99% and it won't stabilise again until the bathroom is well ventilated, which is fine. It sometimes also reacts quickly if you run the hot water tap for a small amount of time, you might see a 5-10% rise in humidity reading. It can be set to read Celcius or Fahrenheight and the primary readout can be set to show temperature or humidity.

I wanted something that looks a little more attractive than the cheap hygrometers that I already own, this fits the bill. It looks good, easy to set up and seems fairly accurate, well the time and temperature are. I have three pieces of equipment reading humidity and all three have different readings so I'm sure one of them is right, when I am spending this sort of money I expect some error, I have no reason to believe it is not in tolerance. It has the option of making the temperature or humidity large and bold and Fahrenheit or Centigrade can be displayed. I bought this in the Warehouse so it was a bargain, well pleased

We had had the previous model (perfectly fine, a slightly larger unit but had no advantages over this one) for a couple of years but WE accidentally destroyed it. This seems a great replacement

exactly what expected

Neat piece with nice clear digits and accurate temperature reading. Useful for checking if a room or specific area is getting too damp. The design also means it can happily sit on the side without looking too out of place with photos and other such items.

I bought 2 and they compare well with one another so it seems that they are correctly calibrated when compared to other thermometers i have.Great for monitoring humidity in winter when it can get very dry with the central heating
