The categories of thickness and sheerness do not apply to this item. However, the punch works well once one learns how to place the paper in the punch properly. Ensuring the paper has straight sides and is "square, ensures that the punches are symmetrical.

This necklace punch took me a little practice to figure how I’d like to use. The punch comes with a guide inside the punch, so that you can just insert the corner of your necklace card and it will go to the same depth each time. You can remove the guide pieces but I find it’s easier with them, to have a more consistent punch length.
