Bosch AMW 10 Multi-Tool

This equipment is extremely powerful, I would prefer to have a man use it has I'm only a little 5 foot woman . I felt scared to use it, also it was very heavy. However I overcame my fear , kept the kids out of the way & made this powerful tool do it's job! My garden has never looked so good, nice & clear & free from weeds, nettles & the rest ! Very fast delivery 2 days .This is a God send !!I had a quote to clear my garden £130 so I did it my self for just over £100 for both tools which I can use over & over again ! Thanx 😊

Obviously you have to buy the cutter as this does not come as one piece. Remember (as I did not) that the combination of the two when cutting a high hedge, as I have to, that this becomes unwieldy and heavy. Not safe on an unanchored ladder or without someone holding on. Sturdy, though, with a powerful motor.

Works well. Was looking at Petrol Multi-Tools. Glad I went electric as its a lot easier for doing a lot of short bursts of work, checking progress and starting up again. Usual Bosch feel of a decent bit of kit. Used only with Chainsaw attachment with and without pole extension so far. Will aim to get hedgecutter next

I bought this to maintain he hedges around a 4.5 acre field. When used with either the chain saw, strimmer or hedge trimmer attachments you will not be disappointed in the ease of use. The only down side is that it is not light to use but there again it does do a heavyweight job perfectly.

Bought this to allow me to reach 4m high leylandii and privet hedges. It does a job, but nowhere near as good as the job I can do when on ladders. The point at which you can bend the neck is a bit heavy, and this part also tends to catch on branches. It isn't that powerful either. I may use it every other year, but my concern is that if I rely solely on this, my hedges will grow higher than I need, because I simply cannot cut them as low as I need with this tool.

I like Bosch power tools, I have used a wide range of their products for many years and have been very satisfied, both with the operation of and the availability of spare parts.In my view this machine is a disaster, I hate it.I am a big chap, 6'3" 18st and well able to handle power tools for garden maintenance. This multi-tool is heavy, unbalanced and underpowered.This review concerns the hedgetrimmer attachment in conjunction with the motor unit and harness.The motor unit is very heavy and painful to hold, to operate the switch and guide the machine my wrist was bent at a very uncomfortable angle.The harness is uncomfortable and difficult to dis-engage, I now use a Ryobi strimmer harness which a far superior release mechanism.The trimmer head is not very efficient and appears underpowered, it won't cope with stems thicker than 6mm.What puzzles me is that this machine has a 400mm blade, 1000 Watt motor and is struggling with my hedge; yet my existing trimmer - a Bosch 6000 Pro has a 600mm blade, 700 Watt motor and has coped admirably with the hedge for the last 5 years. The 6000 Pro also has a much thicker cutting capacity.I bought this multi-tool to save me climbing a ladder and steps but it's so heavy and unwieldy that a neat finish is virtually impossible.My intention was eventually to purchase the pruning saw attachment for use in the autumn, but I think I'll stick with my ladder and chain saw.My neighbour was very interested in my purchase of this machine, he pestered me to lend it him - and returned it within 30 minutes - "what a b****y awful machine, it's too heavy".I'm now researching petrol multi-tools.One good point - the trimmer head has an excellent click-stop positioning mechanism, its a pity the guy who designed that bit didn't design the rest of the machine.

This is the second time I have bought this tool. I bought the first one with the hedge trimmer, chain saw and extension pole attachments from Axminster. I made occasional use of the multi-tool, hung it up in the garage when not in use and found it all quite good. However, at just 2 months out of guarantee the hook broke and the tool fell to the floor, damaging the tightening screw at the end of the shaft and rendering everything useless. Although the engine still worked, I was not confident the machine was safe to use. I contacted Axminster and they didn't want to know, so I contacted Bosch who, to their credit, asked me to send it to them for inspection at their expense. Their response was disappointing, a choice of a repair bill for £56.18, leave it with them for disposal or have it returned in pieces. I left it with them, of course!By buying the attachments I am committed to the tool, hence this purchase. The tool itself, I believe, is good, but the integrated hook is made of a material not fit for purpose. Use it at your peril.

Prune my trees with this during the summer I purchased the pruner and branch saw.I also got the extension pole from elsewhere so I could get to higher branches.Did the job I wanted to do very well.Would recommend this tool.
