Hi im a shot blaster and need ear defenders. Its a very noisy environment. Would these be ok to wear to protect my ears

If you're looking to use the audio input & listen to music etc while you work, forget about these. The external mic cannot be turned off and the variable audio gain is applied equally to both the mic-input & audio-input sound levels - a ridiculous design-decision imo. What this basically means is that when working in a noisy environment, the music you're trying to listen to is completely drowned out by the external noise, irrespective of the variable-gain setting. Even when used 'normally', the sound reduction is minimal, definitely not worth the asking price. I returned mine in disgust.

Would these fit under a fast helemt or are they not adjustable enough?

If fast helmet is covering ears then NO. they are standard ear defender size

I'm about to start work in a factory, so Iwill be exposed to loud press machinery all day long. Will they be ok and comfy for long periods?
