I got a travel mug from a public radio station that I support. It had a lid with a sliding stopper that would not stay either closed or opened. I got a YETI mug from a store opening promotion and it had a magnetic stopper that worked great. I saw these lids with a great price and thought I would give them a trial. I'm only using one of the lids, but so far it is working really well. It stays open or closed, however you want it to be. And it is a great insulator as well. I make a cup before driving to a group bike ride. I drink about half of it before the ride, close the lid, and 2-3 hours later after the ride, the coffee is still a great drinking temperature. It may lose a degree or two, but not much. For the price, you can't beat these lids. I highly recommend them.

I ordered these lids, because the lids I had on my coffee cups not yeti cups, you couldn't remove the top sliders to clean underneath them so I thought I would be smart and put them into a pot with water and dish detergent and boil them to see if it would actually clean the coffee under the sliders, well that didn't work well as I was doing other things at the same time and forgot about the pot on the stove and I melted my lids, so I ordered these yeti lids with the magnetic sliders which I absolutely love because its removable and easy to wash and clean them, very durable, and good quality. They were supposed to be delivered today the 26th, and they arrived yesterday the 25th, I placed my order on the 24th, so very fastshipping as well, I am very happy with my purchase, Thanks Amazon.

These lids fit well. The sliders function well. When the slider is closed, liquid will still leak out. This is fine for driving as long as it doesn't fall to the floor. It will slowly leak out the top. You can hold it to your mouth and get a very slow liquid leak, so if it falls, it must be quickly picked up or your drink will slowly leak on the floor. For me, this is fine since I don't do a lot of driving with it. Overall, I am pleased with them. The price seems high, but this is likely because we don't truly receive free shipping since the markup for sellers utilizing Amazon is enough to cover shipping on a tiny item like this. Amazon in general is getting to be terrible in every way, especially customer service.
