Addictive romantasy story
The Wolf King is an impossible to put down romantasy story. With romance, intrigue, suspense, and hot alpha werewolves, it’s a fantastic book that kept me reading long after bedtime.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️It’s Princess Aurora’s wedding eve, and she’s dreading the arranged alliance with her odious groom Sebastian. The festivities include brutal fights between captive werewolves, which Aurora can’t stomach. She finally stops a fight and begs for the life of a young wolf. She captures the attention of alpha wolf Callum, who helps her escape the castle later that night. As Aurora learns that she’s misinformed about a lot of werewolf details, she and Callum become very…ahem…close. She also gets to know alpha Blake, who is in the thick of werewolf politics. But, when the time comes for the werewolves to barter her back to Sebastian, does she even want to return home? For whatever reason, this particular combination of characters and events are absolutely addictive, and I couldn’t put this story down. It’s made up of what seem to be Scottish wolves and English southerners, with plenty of Gaelic words and mythology thrown in. While it takes a bit of time for Aurora to grow stronger and go after what she wants, her character arc makes sense. And protective Callum and calculating Blake are perfect werewolf foils; both ultimately want to protect Aurora—I think—but have very different strategies. If things like battles, intrigue, and hot wolf shifters sound good to you, then you must read The Wolf King. The story and characters are utterly addictive, and now I can’t wait to dive into book 2.

Had to read it twice it was so good!
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. After reading the sequel (the Night Prince), I realized I needed to read both again knowing that I would get a lot more out of the stories the second time around. ...and I absolutely did. My book series hangover is so much more intense the 2nd time around (in a good way!)The Wolf King has good world building, a simply evil villain (Sebastian), a great backstory about the Wolves, and captivating dynamics between the characters.I am a fan of Callum - particularly in The Wolf King. He is a warrior and natural leader with an unlimited capacity for love and kindness. He is quick to laugh, has a wonderful sense of humor, and he is sexy.Aurora is not my favorite FMC but she is not my least favorite either. I got a little annoyed with hearing her say or think "I am a princess" over and over when she hates everything that the life of a princess was for her. I wanted her to be smarter and I wanted to see her break out of the "princess" mindset. This said, I did appreciate that she was a person in that she wasn't just pure sunshine and all things good, she had darker thoughts and feelings in the story too.I was not attracted to Blake in The Wolf King. He is smart, manipulative, and you are always wondering what his agenda is. This said, I thoroughly enjoyed every scene he was in and I did want to learn more about him and see how he plays into the overall story (and I'll admit, I fell for him hard in book 2 - I can not wait to learn more about Blake in Book 3).Wolf King was a great introduction for what could be an outstanding series. I could not put it down. Every moment I could spend reading this book, I did. Both times.

Obsessed!!!
This was my first wolf fantasy read, and I’m so glad I gave it a chance—I need more already! I’ll admit, I was a little hesitant at first, but this book blew away all my doubts. The author did an excellent job of introducing a complex world in a matter that didn't leave me confused initially like most fantasy books.Aurora and Callum story is such a refreshing read from my usual enemies to lovers. He is such a gentleman and is so pure of heart and intentions and as his character developed i was rooting for him to get his happy ending. Aurora, on the other hand, is far from a typical damsel in distress. She’s strong, independent, and doesn’t fall into the usual female character tropes. I absolutely love how both of these characters evolve thought the book with all the hardships they are faced with throughout the book. The book was not predictable and was full of twists and unexpected turns. The book made me question each character's intentions especially the people I was suspecting of being the villain in the story. My conclusion is the everyone is the villain when it comes to each individual story. Everyone is pursuing their own interest and seeking their own vengeance just like in the real world.Blake was my top suspect for the villain, but oh boy.. I truly am hoping i am right about him and that he is just as equally misunderstood as my other villain suspects .Side note - I need more friends to talk about the ending because my jaw is on the floor

New Addictive Fantasy Romance
Wow! This was a one day listen for me. This audiobook had me hooked from the first chapter. The FMC is a princess betrothed to an evil man who holds "dog fights" for entertainment using men who turn into wolves on the full moon. Our fmc has been controlled and silenced her whole life, but this is what finally gives her to courage to stand up for what is right. When she sneaks to the dungeons to aid the injured young wolf from the fight, she meets the powerful Alpha and her life is changed. This book has all the classics we love in a romantasy, but it's not old or re-used. The world building is clear and intriguing. The FMC and MMC are imperfect individuals who are growing throughout the story. I loved the banter between the two of them.Blake is the best villainish mmc I could ask for. I don't always love a love-triangle and many times was thinking this should be a why-choose honestly. But the ending of this one did it for me. We have all been in relationships that start out perfectly and then tiny cracks appear. I appreciated the viewpoint of the fmc going through this and her resolve to be true to herself and follow what she wants, even if it's going to be hard.I couldn't put this down and am going to be getting book two immediately.
