This simple diverter works great ! Easy to switch the outlet from right to left, as I did, and I used the 2x3 adapter to fill the space around the bottom of the diverter. I have the larger 3x4 downspouts. This made a nice, clean installation. I used a piece of fine screen above the diverter to filter out bugs and leaves. Made the top part so that it will slide up to allow cleaning or replacement of the screen and also the diverter. My only complaint is the hose. It never straightened out completely from being folded up in the box. Will probably replace that later. My 2-55 gal barrels filled completely from a 1" rain.

This downspout diverter works exactly as advertised! It fit my standard gutter downspout perfectly and was super easy to install. Now I can easily direct rainwater into my barrels without leaks or mess, and flip it back to normal when the barrels are full. The material feels durable and weather-resistant, so I’m confident it will hold up through all seasons. Such a simple but smart way to make use of rainwater and keep my garden watered for free! Highly recommend for anyone looking to collect rainwater efficiently.

Worked well in my application as seen in the photos. I would have gladly given it five stars, but there’s definitely room for some improvement. Although the device is well-made, sturdy, easy to install, and looks great. The supplied hose does not match the quality of the diverter itself, it comes collapsed and does not want to stay open, which restricts water flow, and also got sticky after just the first couple of days in the sun. I ended up replacing the supplied hose with one purchased separately. I also added clamps, which could easily have been included in the kit. I think it was a good purchase and seemed to be the best reasonably priced one available, I just think they can make a few adjustments to improve the overall package for the consumer.

We liked the option to limit the flow of water with the turn of the lever, installation was fairly easy and simple, we had to modify the drain tube to fit our drum due to hole diameter size and screen. Again no problems with tube modification, system appears to be working as designed, we have just not had any torrential rain to really test it. Only recommendation I think is needed, is a screen and hole grommet attachment to fit drain tube in to the barrel or drum!

Got one. Installed it. Worked great. Got a second. Installed it. Worked great. This product will require you to cut into your downspout. That can be troublesome if you don't have the correct tools. Your cut should be as le el as possible. Hose clamp is not included but can be found at most hardware stores. Hose itself is stiff. It can be made pliable afer a fashion but it will have kinks. Spout can be right or left (big selling point). The actual diverter function works great.

We have the bigger downspouts and it is a little bit wobbly now that it’s installed. The instructions told us to cut way too big of an opening so definitely do your own measurements before you cut!! Also the diverter does NOT completely divert the water even when it is turn to the full diverter position; some water still goes straight through the downspout. Seems to be working ok, just not quite as described.

Received yesterday & installed today. I'll have to wait for rain to give a full review, but, it seems to be well built & sturdy. I had to change the direction of the spout from right to left, which was very simple. Installation was not difficult, although cutting the downspout was tricky - would have been much easier if I'd removed the downspout from the house first, but I didn't want to mess with that, so I used a combination of hand saws & tin snips - certainly not a professional job, but I got it done. As others have mentioned, it would be great if the kit included a piece to cover the exposed cut on the lower part of the downspout. I reconfigured the extra ring from the top, the piece designed to be discarded if your downspouts are the larger diameter - which mine are - I cut away some of the extra plastic on the back side so that the piece fit into & over the cut edge of the lower downspout, covering up any sharp edges on my less than perfect cut - see close up in my first picture. It looks much better than it did without it, and I believe aids in making the whole thing more stable.

It was easy to install on my downspouts. My rain barrels are full again. Recommend.
