Just got it and already like it. Quick tip that helped me as well
Came in a few hours ago. Im loving it already. Do I wish it could have more tension? Yes. 100%. But nothing is perfect. Good enough for me to use while sitting and watching YouTube videos. A quick trick. Do not use it with your knee right on top of the tool. Your knee should be more of a 45° from the tool (while sitting). Because the ankle is not locked, you can pull a little more with the toes which makes me feel like I'm working it more. With my knee over the tool, i barely feel anything. Maybe it's just me, but it works for me. Just try it I guess

Excellent foot and toe strengthener
Really happy with this Elgin Archexerciser. I try to do everyday, 10 reps on each foot x 3 sets. I have used this machine with my Physiologist to assist with my feet and toe problems, so decided to purchase my own. I do think it helps my feet. This product seems sturdy and a good price on Amazon and was delivered in days which was great during the Christmas season.

Great little exerciser
I am healing up from a stress fracture in my heel caused by plantar fasciitis. My Physical Therapist has one of these "Archxercisers" and I decided to buy one for myself. I must say my healing has accelerated since I have been able to do these exercises daily instead of just twice a week when I go in for my P.T. appointments. I can feel the strength returning to my toes and arch. I will continue to use this device well after I get a clean bill of health.

You will eventually need to add resistance with a washer
I found the original (white) too light for my purposes, but depending on the severity of your injury you should still start with that one. IMO the goal for this exerciser is to train for repetitions, not weight. Eventually, however, you will move up to this pro model and then need more resistance. You'll notice on the underside, that this "pro" model is really just the original with a pre-compressed spring. It's possible that the spring is a bit different, but the compression is largely what adds resistance. I added another black plastic washer, seen in the photo, to add resistance. Please note that there is only so much extra resistance you can add; each washer reduces the total range of the spring. I estimate I probably have room for one more in a month or two when it's time to move up.I am using this for a relatively lighter (but stubborn) case of plantar fasciitis, in conjunction with stretches, exercises, insoles, and a red light therapy panel.
