I have 3 big dogs who tear up every toy I give them, but this one has held up really well. It says that it's for tugging on, not chewing. So, it lives in the backyard and they use it for tug constantly. Still looks pretty good, no busted seams or anything and the dogs love it. When it does eventually get torn up I will absolutely rebuy to replace it.

This toy has been holding up pretty well for our German Shepherd. We use it outside for fetch, tugging, and hide and seek. This isn’t meant to be a chew toy and we don’t allow him to use it like one. It has frayed a little bit at the edge but it has held up pretty well and the handle is firmly attached .

I bought this toy 8 months ago and it is the ONLY toy my 90lb Golden has not destroyed in 24 hours or less! We play tug of war with it and she LOVES it. I don't usually give her full-time access to her toys as she can pretty much tear anything apart given time. For example, we've gone through 4 or 5 of the Nerf sling shot ducks. She can also nip the fuzz off of a tennis ball in about an hour! I usually just play with her with the toys and then put them up, so she doesn't destroy them. Well, she has full time access to this one and either she likes it so much she doesn't destroy it or it's just made that tough (a bit of both I suspect), but 8 months later it is still in tact. This represents, by far, the greatest dog toy investment I have ever made and I felt compelled to write this review.The other thing that I like about this particular toy is that while we can play fetch with it like with do with pretty much all of her other toys, playing tug of war with it is really fun for us and she enjoys the attention and exercise, which makes this toy rather unique when compared to all of the others. Use this for fetch in pool. Thin enough to grab hold of without your dog having his mouth wide open and swallowing lots of water, a factor if he’s doing it for an hour! We’d been using a friend’s, whose dog had largely chewed both ends off but it still held together. The new one we ordered was somewhat heavier than the original. First two times It was fine, but third time it started sinking. I don’t think these are mass produced, and it seemed as though someone had put in too much sand relative to the amount of buoyant material. We sent it back and got another one. Third one is fine, thinner than either of the others but thick enough, and floats fine.

I had ordered two identical tug toys, the yellow tug toy with one blue strap handle. I received two yellow tug toys, one with a bungee handle and one with two blue strap handles. I returned the bungee handle tug for my originally ordered one handle tug. I decided to keep the tug toy with two handles. I quickly received the replacement for the bungee handle tug toy. The bungee handle was hard to hold onto when my dog was tugging. I actually like the two handle tug toy. Using two hands gives me more strength when tugging with my dog than just the one handle. The tug toys are well made and very durable. That said, like the product description states, it is not a chew toy. Very happy with the purchase and quick customer service.

Definitely a strong, desirable dog toy. However, not a good choice for a pitbull terrier. Our pitty has been LOVING it since just this morning (about 3 hours of play, so far) and I'm guessing he'll have it shredded before he goes to bed tonight. Would recommend for a less determined, less destructive breed.Update: Didn't make it to bedtime... couple more hours of play and it was completely destroyed lol. He loved it while it lasted.

I purchased this for two dogs who love to tug with each other and hold each end in their mouths and run and play. Most other tug toys were pulled apart in a few days. This one lasts when used only as a TUG toy. I do not let the dogs have this toy alone as they were easily rip it to shreds but as a tug toy, best money every spent.

Durability can be better. The stitching on the other end (non-handle) seems to be the weak point for this toy. I purchased 2 of these back in April 27th and both toys are tearing on the ends (a little over a month of proper usage) just like other reviewers had posted/described...Update: Seller was proactive and reached out to replace both items.

Listen. I bought this product and it’s incredible. The reviews on this are ridiculous. Read the discription. NOT A CHEW TOY!! In fact it even says it on the toy itself that has to be removed before use anyway. This is a training toy. My shepherd goes nots for this and helps in the training. It’s sold. Any toy can be destroyed if you don’t have a carpet sweeper for a pet. If I have it to my dogs to chew on they would eventually get through it. It’s for playing with and taking away and awarding with it for fun and good behaviour. If you want a chew toy buy a cheap one cause even the expensive ones real dogs will get through anyway. Then at least it’s cheap and you can get other. But if you want a well built trading toy that is indestructible for its purpose look no further. Great buy and great quality

I purchased this toy 4 months ago for my 1 yr old 100lbs Daniff/Pitbull and it's still in great shape. I always put it away when we're done using it and my dog still to this day gets really excited when I bring it out. He plays fetch with it, tug of war and likes running, leaping through the air and grabbing it out of my hands. The handle on mine is still in perfect shape after many a game of tug. If I ever lose it or my dog manages to destroy it I'll definitely order another, well worth the money.

This was a great toy for a few freshwater trips. However after being used a second summer, I took it to the beach 3 times and it sunk. Never to return.As a tug toy, it was a let down as it must be put away as per pre- purchase information, however the holes made by big teeth O believe contributed to it sinking in the ocean floor. Unfortunately just another piece of very over priced rubbish on the ocean floor, or may eventually wash up on a beach somewhere else. My dog was so disappointed to not have her toy today at the beach. Save your money. Esp if you're expecting quality that will last. Very disappointed.I have recieved a full refund however so A+ to Amazon staff.
