This is spot on the best replacement product on the market right now for Xbox controllers. My controller grips came off the original and it was all beat up when I put the new one on. It was literally just like a brand new controller. The tools worked perfectly. It is very durable if not better than the original. It was great value for replacement part to feel is just of that as the original it fits perfectly. Everything provided was pretty straightforward and worked just as they needed to and now I have a few extra tools to throw in the toolbox as well.

The side rubber started coming off my original controller not long after warranty was over. When I found this I was excited and hopeful. The most difficult part is opening the controller. After that, watching the video, pausing as you go, rewinding a bit, this was a relatively easy fix. All the needed tools supplied with the kit! I’d recommend this one for anyone instead of buying a new controller.

Ok so the case is great, it feels high end and identical to the one already on the Elite V2. Soft rubbery plastic, super high end replacement. Swapping the internals over is not very hard but it is tedious. Just watch a youtube DIY video if you need to but it's very straightforward once you get in. In my second pic you will see a white sticker above the D pad to the right of the left analog there is a screw hiding under that and you'll have to break it or peel it up. The con to this set are the tools, they are plenty enough to get you going and get the controller disassembled, the problem comes when threading the screws into the new case you need a bit of force and that amount of force strips the bits for every one of them except the biggest size. Had I not already had a good precision set I would now be waiting a day or two for a new set of tools. Make absolutely sure to get at least a cheap set of precision driver bits with as many as possible or if the exact ones are listed in this listing then just make sure those are included, I cannot remember the sizes. They are all safety torx, 3 different sizes. Also if you for whatever reason want to not mangle the old controller case get a plastic spudger as this kit comes with a metal one and it destroys the original case. No big deal for me as my case's rubber overmolding was peeling off I wouldn't have reused it ever. Good luck!

Amazing, easy to install

There are no instructions, and the iFixit teardown I found doesn't comprehensively illustrate what you're going to need to do, but any reasonably methodical person should be able to get this shell replacement fitted. Take photos to help you remember how everything goes together if you need to. The trickiest parts are getting the trigger stops moved over and seated correctly in the bottom shell, and getting the magnets moved over and secured in the bottom shell. Overall, the fit and finish makes my controller look brand new. I like that they've included every screw and spring as well as a set of tools.

The tutorial video on this is absolutely wonderful. Easy to follow along with. My controller looks absolutely wonderful like I just bought it and the black is the exact same as original. It is compatible with the series 2 controller. All the buttons are working still. If your controller needs to be replaced, by this product, worry free. You won't be disappointed.

I ordered the green shell, and although the design is great one thing that you must know if you purchase this is that the pad paddles are do not work with this case. Something about the design does not allow the back paddles to fully click down into the magnetic sheet located inside of the controller. It was working just fine with my previous case, and this case just happens to have more thickness in at specific area. I know it’s not my controller because I can use a pen to press down on the magnetic area, and the buttons register just fine. Aside from that, it works just fine, but if you’re a gamer who uses the back extra back buttons, be cautious of this purchase. Especially considering it’s double the price of the other shells. Also did not come with instructions.

Looks just as good as the original.

Arrive just now, had the old case off in 5 minutes and the new top (only) as the bottom case was fine, fit like glove New case on the left, old top case on the right plus broken bits from inside the controller. Looks and feels brand new

So far it's amazing. I jist used the top part. Am changing the bottom part soon. Tools provided for the task. But a small instruction would be better. Rather just sending the item and leave it on the customer to figure out how to.

Bit fiddly but with a YouTube guide, pretty straight forward, even for someone with no experience in this sort of thing. All the tools provided worked great and had saved me around £120 by not having to buy a new one!
