Catechism of the Catholic Church, Revised

I already have a copy of the Septuagint, the ancient Greek translation of the Hebrew Scriptures used by Jews in the Hellenistic period and later by early Christians. So grabbing this made perfect sense. It adds context, gives insight into translation choices, and helps you see how these texts influenced early theology.This edition is from Libreria Editrice Vaticana, the Vatican’s official publishing house. They’ve been around since 1926 and are responsible for putting out official Church documents. That gave this a little more weight for me as a study tool.Books like this are usually picked up by folks into theology, Church history, or anyone who wants to understand how different versions of the Bible came together. If you're the kind of person who notices differences in verses and wonders why, this helps clear that up.Well put together, easy to follow, and a solid match for anyone studying the Septuagint. Definitely glad I grabbed it.

This is exactly what I wanted. The font is the perfect size and it very easy/intuitive to read. I was a bit disappointed by minor damage to the spine that presumably occurred during shipping since it was in a bag rather than a box but I'm otherwise very happy with my purchase.

Definitely coincides with Catholic tradition and teaching. This book is authentic and is of expected quality as it is described.
