An athletes best friend ! Purchased for teenagers soccer cleats which smell terrible no matter how new they are. The aroma is very lavender and earthy but I does its job . After placing in wet soccer cleats overnight they not only masked the smell but removed it. I feel like the fact I can keep the cleats in the car now not in trunk speaks volume ! $ but more effective than any sprays or powders I’ve ever bought ! Will be buying for the entire family! Says 6-12 months it’s only been a few weeks but based on what it’s already done I’m impressed !

When i first opened the package, the smell was way too strong. My sneakers was smelly, so i inserted the banana into sneakers and the smell was gone the next day. Product was good, very easy to use. Best value if you dont want to have powder. Fresh

I tried these after all the typical baking soda, newspaper, etc. tricks weren't making a dent in my climbing shoes. These work like a charm and now I have to almost stick my face into the shoe to get a whiff. The smell can be very strong when you first take them out of the package, and I figure they probably need some time to soak up everything that's already in your shoes, so I suggest leaving them in your shoes when you know you won't need to wear them the next day. The scent is herbal and pleasant.One star deducted because one of the bananas was so overfilled that the seam had split and it spills the deodorizing power into the package. I guess it's a good thing that they're not skimping on providing the materials? As long as I'm not throwing it around it's fine. I figure if an extra grain of lavendar or whatever sticks in my shoe, it can only help.
