StarTech 12in SATA to LP4 Power Adapter Cable (LP4SATAFM12)

Exactly what it says it is, sata to molex adapter. I bought these to install an AIO in a friends computer that only had sata power connections and no molex, the AIO needed a molex connection for the RGB. These where perfect for the job

I had an old Dell desktop that didn't have USB 3.0 so I bought an add on card only to find that with it installed the PC wouldn't boot.The problem was that the motherboard couldn't power the card and still have enough power to start so it obviously needed to be powered direct from the PSU. Unfortunately the PSU didn't have a spare molex connector but did have a spare Sata power connector. Bought this and problem solved. Desktop now has USB 3.0, and boots just fine. There's a school of thought that advises against using SATA to Molex connectors due to possible heat issues but this seems to be mainly a problem with cheap and poorly made cables and my research flagged this Star Tech cable as being the best quality one you could get. Been running it 4 months now without a problem so I'm happy with how it's performing.

There are countless options available for converting molex to SATA power, but not so many for going the other way. Since some older motherboards and many adapter cards use the older molex style plug and modern power supplies tend to concentrate on the SATA connections, this can come in quite handy when you're trying to keep the number of power supply wires down.

Used to connect external ssd to my computer. No issues. Packaged well. Would buy again if needed.

Got the 12 inch while on sale for $3 (was vastly cheaper than the 6 inch for whatever reason). Nice quality. Feels substantial and well built. Not a flimsy cable. At $6 it is a bit expensive. They also make a splitter to two molex connectors which might be more cost effective.

Used this to power the lighting on my Cooler Master ML240 rgb water cooler with rbg control. My power supply didn't have lp4 power so I adapted my available power from my hard drive sata line. Works well, cheap, and easy install!

I bought a Cooler Master Hyper 212 RGB black edition CPU cooler and my mobo didn't have an RGB header for the controller, which comes with a molex connector. My PSU didn't have the molex connector, so I needed a Molex to SATA adapter to power the RGB function. This solved the issue in my Fractal Design Define R5 case

I wanted to connect a NZXT HUE to my PSU, but i didnt have a molex connector. This adapter did the trick, it is now working perfectly with my RGB fans. Would recommend it to anybody with the same porpouse as me.

El cable es tal cual se muestra y cumple las funciones previstas. La longitud es suficiente para el interior de una caja y la conexión se hizo sin problemas.

Excellent, got this for a new pc psu that had mostly sata connectors and of course I had hardware that required molex so it worked a treat. I'd recommend this adapter for price and functionality. Very happy with the purchase.
