Worked the first time I used it and because it is so cheaply made the brass switch no longer touches so it won't power up no mater how hard you push the button. Same as the replacement they sent me and now they want me to take one to kohl's and the other to a ups store for return. The kohl's is right next to me the ups store 8 miles away. With the price of gas being so high this is how they suggest I go about returning said product.

I’m relatively new to leatherwork and hand-stitching. I’ve tried using a lighter to finish the row of stitching, but it didn’t feel very accurate and I worried about the flame. I was eager to try out this device to see if it would be easier to use. It sure is! Once you put in one AA battery (not included) into the device, all you have to do is press and hold the button on the side and the tip heats up (and turns red!) in just a second or two. Then you touch the thread and it burns right through it, sealing the stitching.You are able to get the thread burner exactly where you want because the tip is easy to place precisely where you need it. I am very happy with how well this works! I recommend this device if you work with leather and need to trim and seal the thread at the end of your stitching.
