8k does not support 4k@120Hz as described
tried 2 of the 8k ones and they do not support 4k@120Hz as stated in the description. They only went up to 60Hz. Did not work for me. Wasn't going to play my Xbox series X at 60Hz. May as well of not gotten a new Xbox.Wasted a lot of time before figuring out what was going on. Basically, the instructions are no help for troubleshooting. But, if you have the high speed hdmi 2.1 cables and are only getting audio out, and no picture... or like some of the other pictures posted, you're only getting 640 x 480 resolution... or both... Try adjusting your refresh rate and plugging it back in. Hopefully this saves some others some time.

Great product, better than others over tried.
Overall I would give this an 85 out of 100. Has some quirks, but it does the job.I have an older Yamaha 7.1 AVR that only supports 1080p (even on pass-through mode) while I have a 4k TV that is connected to my computer. In the past I would run two 50 ft hdmi from pc, one to tv, one to avr. This product let me remove one of those cable from the equation. The quirks. On a rare occasion of my pc monitor is on while booting the computer, with the display set to tv it did not show an image. I use Windows key + P to move between monitor and TV outputs. That fixes it.My TV supports 1440/120 (true 120hz) or 4k/60. Using CRU and setting a 4:2:0 chroma 4k/120 resolution I'm able to get 4k @ 120hz without HDR. With everything hooked up to this box the audio wasn't playing. I had to run CRU with only the video connected, not the audio hdmi. Once I set settings, saved, and reset I plugged the audio cable back in and was able to get 5.1/7.1 surround again.

Does not pass ATMOS (MAT) OR Dolby Vision
Device works as intended but for your information it does not pass ATMOS and Dolby Vision. I tested it with hdr10 and hdr10+ and that works. Use the shortest HDMI cables possible with 2.1 version. The device sometimes cuts out so you have to turn it off and back on. Generally works just turning off power from remote and turning it back on. The frequency hz switch inside is buggy. It does pass hd audio format 7.1 via PCM (Dolby hd, dts hd ma etc). I'm keeping it because I like the build quality and it generally works for what I need. Passing HD audio from older audio systems that I still enjoy using. Hope this helps.

PS5 gaming monitor did not have a aux input
My monitor is an Alienware AW2724DM it did not have a aux plug-in. I hooked this up and I still get my 120 Hz frame rate. An HDR if I want to.I plugged in my speakers and it works wonderful. Also has the option to upgrade to a HDMI sound bar or different kind of speaker set upJust keep in mind you will need to 8K 2.1 HDMI cables for it to properly work and get the full benefit from this product

No Audio Output to HDMI Audio
I bought this to split my Apple TV 4k to our Frame TV and our Bose TV Speaker. Rather than splitting, both visual and audio still go to the TV. I tried hooking up a Nintendo switch instead and the same issue occurred. Very frustrated.

Great AV Tool for HDMI, HULU, and Digital Sound
I searched for weeks to find a solution for my audio sourcing once I cut the cord on cable. I needed something that would send signals for the HDMI to my projector or screen; and digital audio to my surround sound systems. This tool is great, sending out separate HDMI signals for video and audio digital coax or optical. It is also very cost effective since I avoided buying players with the streaming and audio sources I use, specifically HULU which most Blu-ray players no longer support. I use this with Amazon Fire Cubes for streaming.
