This is a very nice knife set. My wife and her family enjoys them. But because I am in the kitchen often and I love to cook, I had sharper knives in my kitchen before. It is a good set for begginners but not for someone that knows their way in the kitchen. I would have given it a 5 stars, but I had to sharpen all the knives to cut like I want them. I only had them for 2 months, so sharpening it one time is enough so far.

Even the outside of the box looks great and classy with this Golden Cutlery Set. Inside you will find a box with all the knives each individually wrapped and well protected plus the cutlery scissors. After that is the big heavy gold stained well shaped and machined wooden block to insert all your knives into. When it all comes together on your kitchen countertop you end up with a definite eye catcher that stands out from the rest of normal items as a centerpiece. The knives all individually are very sharp and made for special purpose each. Included is your sharpener to always quickly be able to give each knife a quick sharpness touch up. So this set has you covered for classing up your kitchen and cutting up your food equally well. This would make a great memorable gift for someone even if that someone is you.

These are really beautiful knives, and some of the only ones for sale on Amazon with a relatively normal brand name, and not something random like "boogaloo YMCT", which seems to be an almost unavoidable thing nowadays. With that being said, when they tell you to promptly dry them, they are not kidding. These things will rust within a few hours of being left moist. You literally have to dry them by hand and put them away immediately (treat them like a million bucks) or they will rust before your very eyes. You cannot leave them in the sink overnight for example (I typically collect all my used silverware in a dirty cup filled with soapy water until there are enough dishes that I decide to waste the energy and wash them all). I have other silverware that I've had for several years and have treated them like garbage every way imaginable, and they have no rust on them. These are not those. I just ordered some SOS pads today to see if I can scrub the rust off of some of them. Final thought: DRY THEM IMMEDIATELY after contact with any kind of moisture.

These knives were perfect! It has scissors, a knife sharpener, bread knives and etc! Everything you need in one knife block! I love the gold color to them. They’ve lasted a long time!
