This one only holds 500 pcs but every so often I can get a 1000 pc on it. The material is a stiff looking felt and is very sturdy. When you have it at an angle the pcs can slide down so I put a strip of velcro at the bottom and it holds it perfectly. It is very easy to set up and if you want to put it up before completing the puzzle then it is light enough to pick up and move and has a cover to protect your progress.The drawers are great to separate the pcs.
