Coleman Airxcel 08-0212 Mach Polar Cub, 9.2 Arctic White

Bought this for our Fleetwood Angler cabover camper. Installation was pretty straightforward and easy to do myself. Local shops wanted $300-$500 to install the A/C + ceiling assembly and it took me about a day for vent removal, cleanup and installation of the new unit. The hardest part was getting the 90# A/C unit itself up on the roof of the camper. The included instructions were thorough and there are lots of on-line videos for DIYers. Everything worked just fine immediately. This is the lowest profile unit on the market that I could find and it just fits under my storage roof.The only downside of this unit in this application is that it is LOUD. And it's not the compressor, it's the fans. It is an overpowered application for a small camper like ours but it's either going full blast or completely off. High/low on the inside fan does not slow the outside exhaust fan. I think to keep the low profile the radiators were reduced in size and they need to move more air through them to get the efficiency they need. There are some add-on products to reduce the fan speed/noise and I think I'm going to try one.

This is the second one of these we have bought. The first one rode around on our TRUCK for 650,000 miles and finally rattled apart. (no Wonder on our great US roads) This one runs on our 3000 Watt Generator and cools our little sleeper space great.

Item was damaged upon arrival. Both back corners damaged. No box it was on a couple of boards with banding wrapped around it with a piece of cardboard. I did not send it because of the hassle. Worked fine after mounted

Works great. Easy Install. I have two on my Rig 9K and 15K - low sound and blowing with high cooling on low fan and I run hot so summer is hard on me......best money I have spent on my rig in a long time......Well worth every penny

This is the original unit on my 2015 5th wheel. With 2 units, they keep the RV a reasonable temperature, even in some of the hottest places in the US. They are used heavily in the summer as we full time in the southwest. We have had 2 major issues with the original unit. 1. the cheaply made plastic fan disintegrated. It was under warranty and is now fixed. 2. The fan motor has gone out. It's under an extended warranty I bought, but I have to play games in the 100 degree heat to get it repaired. We purchased the second unit after market in 2015. This one already had the upgraded fan and we have had no issues with the second unit.

Works well with limited parking height area.

Installed this AC unit on my 1991 winnebago micro warriorWorks great & is very quiet from the outside. Much lower profile than our old unit.The unit was easy to install ourselves.We removed the old unit and hoisted the new one up with a ratchet strap.Plug and play, easy instructions.
