Much better than styrofoam cups!
I love coffee. I love it so much, I opened a couple coffeehouses a few years back.Truth is, I'll drink just about any coffee if it comes down to no coffee or bad coffee, lol.But what I will NOT do is drink coffee from a Styrofoam cup. The white cheap ones that I grew up with? The kind people nervously chew the rim of? (Or was that just me?) Anyway, hate them. I will skip coffee if my only choice is drinking it from Styrofoam.Well, when my son and his girl were discussing plans for their baby shower and the autumn "lil' pumpkin" theme, my son asked if I could make a really special hot drink, since we knew it was going to be cold. (They're calling for snow now, lol).I was excited to make a hot chai, hot pumpkin spice cocoa and maybe even a hot spiked cider. When they told me how many people they anticipated, I knew we were going to need disposable cups.I found these.I was immediately drawn to them because they are NOT foam, but also because they are classier looking. The theme and decor is fall-oriented, so the white paper cup, black lid and natural brown paper sleeve are perfect, aesthetically.Yes, these types of cups don't retain heat as long. And they can be hot to hold, which is why you get the sleeve for them - so you don't burn your fingers.I also like that we can put a few sharpies down on the drink table and folks can write their names easily on the cups, so they knew whose is whose.I may get some cute pumpkin stickers to put on the cups. But, I really won't need to because these are perfect as is.I did take one out and assemble it - sleeve and lid on cup - to make sure they all fit together and the lid stays tight.I made a cup of tea and put the sleeve on.It worked fine for the initial grab but after about 30 seconds, I put it down. Now, disclosure: I boiled the water (I know, bad tea prep) but it was more about testing the cup than preparing a proper cuppa. So, I tried it again, with proper temperature - the temp most hot drinks will be served at. And it was fine. The sleeve did it's job.I feel satisfied these will be good for the shower and to serve hot cocoa and hot spiced/spiked cider. With over 200 cups/lids/sleeves, I know we'll have enough with some to spare for the holidays. If we run out, then I will definitely be ordering more to have around for the holidays.I think they are perfect for the fall season and holidays, with the brown kraft paper sleeves.I highly recommend them.

Convenient
These cups are a convenience for guests. They are great for having a quick drink of something. I emphasize quick because after an hour, the cups get weaker. They are generally good paper cups.

Perfect for parties!
These cups worked out perfectly for my Thanksgiving and Christmas get togethers. I still have plenty left for Easter and beyond too. The cups are sturdy 16 oz. cups. The lids fit nicely. The cardboard sleeves keep me from burning my hand when I pick up the cup. Great for coffee or any hot beverage. I'm happy with them.

Good short-term disposable cup!
I got these cups for an upcoming family reunion that we needed cups that would be good for hot and cold beverages. It's a much bigger box than I expected! The cups themselves are sturdy, the lids work well, and the sleeves do a good job of insulating your hand against something hot. While my wife used a cup for hot hot (three refills of hot coffee/water) and by the time she was done it was starting to soak in a little, but for that amount of beverage over several hours that's good for me. I used it for cold and didn't go so quickly, and noticed that what would normally condense on the outside was soaking into the paper since it isn't coated. It was visible, but hadn't compromised the construction. So I think they're a good value, and as long as there isn't an expectation that these cups would be used for an extended period (they're disposable after all) they should be perfectly fine. If the use case is for something extended, or you're using it for something that might soak in and cause the glue to fail (vinegar for dying eggs, for example) you should probably look for a waxed cup. For what they are though, I'm very happy with how they're performing.
