From upbeat vocally-driven songs (many featuring the incomparable throaty gusto of Japanese soul singer, Lyn Inaizumi) to more contemplative, instrumental riffs - it's an impressive ensemble of tunes. Quite simply, Persona 5 is one of our favorite videogame soundtracks to date.

More to say, but just to start out: MP3/WAV shoppers can pick up top-quality digital versions of this and almost all IDIB releases for $1 at their website. Actual CDs are $3, which makes them cheaper than itunes. Amazon, etc.; plus, you get a cool CD. Not rocket scientry! Great way to directly support the artists.Anyhow—this is a classic/transitional release from this singular band, catching them as they were tackling the challenging task of fundamentally revising their sound, from the ground up. Not as exceptional/wonderful as the material that followed, but well worth picking up.
