Easy assembly and operation
Good fan for radon dissipation. Somewhat quite if mounted correctly.

quality radon fan, no issues at 1 year in
This RadonAway RP145c fan (mounted on the exterior wall) has a soft hum audible in the basement if you stand close to where the pipe exits. I'd say the noise level is moderate to low (maybe 3 or 4 out of 10) for the amount of CFM it generates. No issues at all through summer and winter seasons, as well as heavy rains (just make sure your vent pipes slope gently toward your radon plenum subspace to avoid any water condensation freezing in the winter). No vibration or balancing issues with the fan. Overall, quite happy with this radon fan after about 1 year so far. For a ~1600 ft^2 basement, one of these fans has reduced my avg radon readings to ~1 pCi/L, where it used to average 8 to 10 pCi/L.

Good buy
Easy enough to do by yourself

Excellent
I installed this in a couple of hours including prep, cutting PVC, wiring, etc. It took our radon down from 10.4 in the basement to 1.2, and has been running silently for a couple of months. It comes with good instructions also.

good complete set, just add pipe!
Had radon levels in the teens for years and wanted to instal a system myself. Bought this setup and added 3 inch pvc pipes for a total cost of under $350. Set came well boxed with everything but the power wire. After installing the pipe, the fan simply mounts using the rubber couplers. It is easy to remove as I had a low spot in the pipe collecting condensation which I needed to fix. The couplings are strong and well made fitting the fan and 3 inch pipe easily. A quick hole for the vacuum guage and it was ready to work. 48 hours later radon was below 3!You will need to add pipe, a rain cap of some type and power wire to this but otherwise it is a well organized system complete with lables to mark the lines and log initial values for the vac guage..Good price and a well made system! Highly recommend.

Doing the job!
I bought this radon vent fan to address, moderately high radon, approximately 4 - 7 pCI/L in a 1500 sf basement constructed in 2005 with passive radon venting. I chose this fan after testing my basement with a Corentium Home Radon Detector by Airthings 223 Portable. In total, I spent about $300 to get my radon levels to 1 - 2 pCI/L (good to very good "safe" levels). Later I spoke to a guy at work who said he spent $1200 to address his moderately high radon. He said the professional used the same detector as I bought. Now I have levels presumably as low as his, but unlike him I continue to have the ability of hourly monitoring (alkaline batteries in the detector last for about two years of 24/7 monitoring). In my situation since the 3" vent already existed it was a simple matter of using a hacksaw to cut the PVC pipe twice, to remove about 6" of vent pipe and a drill to install the suction gauge. I am achieving 1.5 inches of suction. I guess if I could do it all over I might go with a fan that achieves slightly more suction. I just made an educated guess how powerful of a fan I needed and got pretty lucky, I guess. I figured if I missed and would have to buy a more or less powerful fan I would still be in at less than half the cost of a professional. Honestly I would like to be at 2". At any rate, I feel safe now and needless to say, my coworker feels a little cheated. I guess some people trust "professionals" more than themselves. With Youtube and a little common sense, to me DIY is a no-brainer even when it comes to something as serious as radon.

Nice and quiet again
The very old unit was getting loud. The new one is silent up in the attic.

Wears out prematurely.
Brought radon level down to less than 1, but after 3 months became annoyingly loud and I have to replace it.
