It just WORKS as advertised
I don’t take the time to write reviews, however this one warrants my time. It’s expensive for what it is, however it’s built RIGHT and just WORKS. Took me 10 minutes what would have taken me approximately two hours with a shovel. Works for my sandy loom soil and the saplings just pull out at the roots with minimal effort. It’s heavy but NOT unmanageable if you are of average strength. Buy once cry once.

Heavy duty. Good product for the money.
Very heavy duty. Easy to use. Little bit heavy for those with limited mobility. Will last forever. Does the job!!!

It’s solidly built. Uses leverage to pull the shrub tree out.
Works great! I really like it!

Well built , very sturdy
It works well on privet and especially on honeysuckle. So far, I've had no success with small trees with over an inch or 1.5 inch diameter, they're too strong. 2 inches max diameter might be pushing it, it's very close. I'm 6 ft and 200 lb and I can't pull out anything that big, even by bouncing on it with all my weight. It cuts the time down by half at least, maybe 4x. The amount of effort required drops by 10x, no exaggeration. It's pretty satisfying to use too. I've had good results so far with a slow, steady pull. It grips surprisingly small stuff too but those tend to snap more often than not. I think $400 is a bit high but I wasn't able to find anything close to this. However, there's a good chance I will be dead before this thing breaks.

Too heavy
Far too heavy and expensive of a tool for it to work poorly. I had big expectations for this given the hefty price tag but this is far too large and heavy to comfortably use and difficult to handle.
