I was drawn to the title of the book as a veteran Marine. In the Marine Corps, you have to be ready at all times. One of the most valuable lessons I learned from this book is that Grit can be developed through practice. Just like in sports or any profession, in order to get better at your skill, you need to be consistent and practice. I highly recommend this book for anyone that desires to become better personally and professionally. Lara, truly has a gift to impact others. Her story is amazing and has greatly impacted how I think about my life in general. Every person in a position of leadership needs to read this book.

I love how Lara Jones pieces the book together, and uses here own experience in business along with other credible sources to support what is being discussed. I also appreciate how she incorporates her own personal life experiences into the book as it helps bring connections, clearance, and motivation to the reader. This book is a great book for everyone, and I hope that those who read it are able to take away as much as I did from it.
