Very rigid and not comfortable to use as a shoulder strap

There is no doubt that I have never had a shoulder pad like this that provided this much support and padding.The padding isn’t only abundant but it makes sense. It actually feels comfortable when over my shoulder. The design makes sense.The velcro is STRONG! I mean seriously strong. This is not coming off on its own. Not only that but it doesn’t move along the strap if you don’t want it to. You can secure this around the strap tightly and that is a major plus in my opinion.There is a zippered pocket on the strap. I haven’t found a real good use for this yet but like that they decided to make use of that space. Again, this seems well thought out and that shows in the attention to detail and quality of the materials.Another reason I’m so impressed is how they moved the velcro in so that it doesn’t’ rub against your skin or neck when you wear this. I’m struggling with how to explain this but, regardless of if you wear this on your left or right shoulder, the overlap completely covers the velcro. Sometimes with shoulder pads, the velcro goes right to the edge and can rub against your skin. That is not an issue with this one at all.The black is great because it is basically able to be used with almost any bag. I hope they make a few other colors down the road - army green is never a bad idea 😉.I am giving this five stars. There isn’t anything I can find to take a star away. Even the cost is good for what you get. With the build quality, I don’t expect I will need to replace this anytime soon (as in years).

Good:Easy addition to an old bag to give it new life (and features)Comfortable underside as a shoulder strapGreat easy-access storage on cross-body beltsSpacious storage - easily fit 2 key fobs and a large lip balm (see pic 2)Mixed/JFYI:Can't fit a whole large keychain, nor a lanyard wallet, but it can easily fit credits cards and/or IDsAccessing the pouch when on your shoulder is difficult to unruly (but it's easy enough to pull down when you need access)The more full the storage, the less comfortable it is to use as a shoulder pad (though it's still pretty comfortable!)

Very uncomfortable to wear, too hard & stiff to wear. It just didn't work for me.
