Is this bag too big to be checked with American Airlines, when the pockets are used? The dimensions can only add up to 62 inches.

It should be able to be checked bag. I checked it with Delta from Tulsa to Germany. It is definitely too big for carry on luggage.

Is thos ok im taking a greyhound forv3 days i want to try t put as much as i can but the limit is 50 lbs?

I have used it on trips with about 40 lbs. without a problem. The greyhound limit is 50 lbs per piece, so I don't see a problem with the bag handling that much.
