Great lightweight pot for group camping and backpacking. consider taking to Philmont
Great lightweight pot for group camping and backpacking. If you are planning a trip to Philmont Scout Ranch, consider taking two of these pots and using them instead of the larger heavier pots that Philmont will issue to you. These are much lighter weight, higher quality, and do the job just fine. Every Scout Troop should have these pots as part of their camping gear.

Very lightweight
I do a lot of day hikes, short term hikes, etc. I wanted to try making some lunch at a lean-to, so I got this pot. The pot is great for making soups etc. The pot comes with a carrying pouch, a lid. After giving it a good wash, I took it on my first test. I made some knockwurst soup: potatoes, celeriac, onions, rutabaga, carrots and parsnips and some diced knockwurst. The pot did a great job, and I had a good lunch on the trail. I did not find that the lid handle got too hot, even though I had the pot on direct fire for a good while as my soup was cooking. The pot itself is pretty lightweight, so it's very easy to carry and it's large capacity too. The only problem I had was when carrying the pot - the lid was making a lot of noise in the carrying bag attached to my backpack. I had to take the lid out and put it inside my backpack instead because it was so annoying. There may be a better way to carry it, I'll have to look into it.

Decent camping cookware
I use this for backpacking and preparing group meals for 8-10 people at a time. I've cooked soups, oatmeal, and boiled water and was happy with the performance. Handle is solidly attached, lid fits well. Fits nicely on an MSR Whisperlite and is stable atop one. If you're using a canister stove you'll likely need a wider base than just the canister for stability. Although there's a nonstick coating, and although that coating's quality appears good, you should plan to stir frequently if you're cooking something with solids or that can burn on. I think that's just a given with lightweight camping cookware unless you want to carry a heat-spreader. Pot with handle weight is 440g, lid weight is 120g, capacity is 5 quarts to the rim. Minor quibble: I wish the brackets for the handle didn't stick up. That would make it a little easier to pack.

Little smaller than I expected
Nice Pot only reason for the 4 star is the size is a little smaller than I expected and the price to me was a tad bit high. But it is nice and will work for now.

Like the pot.....but details matter
I wanted a general use pot to add to my outdoor kitchen. Something I can use on the stove or over the fire. This looked like a good size for a small group (sometimes I go with 3 other friends). This seems to fit that description. It's heavy enough not to instantly turn your meal to ash, but still light to carry/pack. Gripes: Silly flat pot lid handle is hard to grab, nearly impossible with gloves or other hand covers. And....it's attached with a tiny screw and it's already backed out once. I threw on some threadlock and hopefully it stays put. The ends of the bail handle are kind of sharp, and with the design they poke up above the pot when you try and pack it into the storage bag. So....it snags and is a pain to remove. They should round these off much more (looks to be just shear cut). But....a lot of value for the price I still think. Great for camp, scouting, etc.

Great camping pot for large group
We used this cooking pot while at the boundary waters camping and it worked great. We had 7 people with us and it was able to hold enough food for everyone in the group. Overall it isnt bad for weight. It held up great cooking. No burning of food and metal doesn't seem to thin. After trip came back and cleaned it up and it looks like new yet. I was able to nest other cooking gear inside the pot which worked out great.

It looks like it will work
I can say it looks great and feels pretty sturdy for the price. It’s lighter than cast iron. Does it hold up? I dunno. That’s why I haven’t reviewed it already. Don’t want to lie and says it’s the best. Ya just shouldn’t rush folks to try something out. I’m going to use it eventually tho.

AMAZING for only $35
I'm blown away by the quality of this pot (that's only a measley 35 bucks!) I've never encountered a non-stick coating that can endure sitting right down in a fire, but this pot is just like new (except some soot on the outside) after over a week of nightly cooking over VERY hot campfires. The non-stick coating makes cleanup a breeze! Not sure what this pot is coated with, but it works like magic! 🧙♂️🔥🍲🔥✨

le produit semble être de bonne qualité mais plus petit qu'indiqué. Cette marmite contient 4.5 l remplie à raz bord et non 5 l.

Bought this for a canoe trip and it’s the only pot I bring with me now. Super light and durable. Boiled water with it over an open fire at least 50 times now and it’s still going strong. Great for hanging over a fire.

I was surprised at the quality of this dutch oven. I brought it on a camping trip where I needed to feed 6 people and used it to cook over a firepit. The walls of the oven are sturdy, the handle is strong and clicks into place at the highest angle, and it worked both hanging over the fire and directly in the pit. The only thing I don't like about this dutch oven is the lid handle; it's made of plastic. I'll definitely be finding a metallic replacement handle
