I’m Not Disappointed. I should have bought these long ago.

These components give you the full range needed to create a balanced stereo system. The crossovers have two terminals for tweeters at 0db and -3db to suit your taste. I tried both and -3 sounded the best to me as tweeter can get piercy which vause ear fatigue, however the silk domes are not harsh. You can run them off a deck yet they will not sound nowhere as loud and clear as when amplified. I'm running noth sets off an NVX VAD10004 (highly recommended amp). I also prepped the door with butyl sound deadening (like Dynamat) which helps the bass and midrange come thru the woofer. I suggest purchasing some 14-16awg OFC speaker wire as the floss it comes with is flimsy yet other than that, a well crafted set. When compared to the stock 6.5" Bose speakers out of my GMC, you can see the Vtek is larger in all aspects. Not sure about the 600 max watts thoand would send no more than 100RMS.

Wow. Had to replace my speakers and did so with jbl to match the rest of my components. After 1 month they were shot. And I did ensure the wattage was sufficient. Still they got blown. Yes I like my music loud in the car, and at home and everywhere. But not just loud, needs to be quality. These speakers blow me away. Amazing crisp fidelity with great bass. They crank so loud that my volume is sufficient in the middle. Of course when the windows and sunroof are open I do crank to max and they do not lose quality at the higher level. When playing it low, especially when the wife is in the car😀 I hear full harmonic range and nice bass. Couldn’t be happier.

SUMMARY The Earthquake Sound VTEK-52 are an OK speaker but are advertised here with silly, outlandish, and patently false claims here on this page (see Fig. 2). Sometimes I despair that merchants have such a low opinion of the gullibility of the general public. I naively believed when ordering these that they featured carbon fiber mid-range cones and silk tweeters; they DON’T! And it’s clear that the light weight of the magnets on these could not possibly support blasting 400 watts through them. But I wanted clean-sounding speakers to replace a blown speaker on my Miata with a stock radio, and figured I couldn’t go way wrong when ordering these, so I kept them rather than go through the hassle of returning them. DETAILS Upon receiving these speakers and looking at the backside of the cones (see Fig. 1), which aren’t metallized like their fronts, it was obvious that they aren’t carbon fiber and were instead fiberglass. In fact, the shipping box for the speakers tells the truth (see Fig. 3): the cones are made of WOVEN FIBERLGLASS. Moreover, the box doesn’t claim that the tweeters are made of silk, as does the claims on this page (Fig. 2 again). The reason silk might be nice is it has extraordinary strength. However, it’s relatively stretchy. These two properties equal what’s called “toughness,” and really, for a tweeter, you just want high “Young’s modulus” (stiffness) and you want low density. The Young’s modulus of silk is around 15 gigapascals (15 GPa). Carbon fiber though has a profoundly high Young’s modulus of 200–500 GPa. The Young’s modulus of individual fiberglass fibers is 72 GPa, which is a fraction of carbon fiber. Still, woven fiberglass matting is still probably stiffer than speaker-cone paper, which is only around 2 GPa, which explains why reviewers are impressed with the sound of these speakers. But carbon fiber—as was advertised here—would have been far superior for a mid-range, as its stiffness would avoid harmonic distortions that color sound and detract from imaging. As for these speakers’ ability to handle 400 watts, uhm… no; not a chance. Back in the 70s and 80s, speakers advertised the weight of their magnets, with 20-ounce (or more) magnets being good for a normal car radio with a modest amplifier. These entire speakers weigh only 19 ounces, so the magnets obviously weigh significantly less than that; maybe around 14 ounces. Such small magnets couldn’t possibly provide the magnetic field required for 400 watts of voice coil acting against it.

Second set love them

You are not getting bass from these. They are a good mid range. They can handle some power and keep good tones.

Al principio no estaba convencido de adquirirlas por qué no son baratas, pero una vez que lo hice no me arrepentí. Son unas bocinas creo yo bastante balanceadas en todos sus tonos, los bajos son bastante contundentes y precisos , dentro de su rango de frecuencia, pero dónde sobresalen más es en medios y agudos, una bocina bastante buena. El único detalle que le encontré fue el empaque, demasiado frágil, creo el fabricante debería hacerlo más rígido para que pueda soportar la transportación. Una buena compra.

Well made, connected to Edge EDX800.4FD amp (4x310W RMS), clear midrange at high volume, crisp sound. I had 4x Edge 6x9 and 2 blew within a week. They can only handle 100W RMS each. My amp is rated at 4x310W RMS at 4Ohms and the earthquake 6x9 speaker can handle 200W RMS at amps flat setting.

Estas bocinas son una excelente elección si lo que buscas son alta calidad en sonido y en materiales de fabricación. Tienen buena capacidad para manejar potencia y mucha claridad en detalle a alto volumen, (recomiendo 75 wrms) para poder obtener el mejor desempeño. Sin duda los disfrutarás mucho en tu sistema de audio.
