I was very happy with this. My plumber told me to buy this. This plug did the job easily and well. You can install it below floor level so the turny thing did not stick up to trip anyone.

This product is easy to use. It is more durable than the plugs that use fragile non-metallic wing nuts, though the latter might be preferred in salt-water applications. Can be inserted inside the pipe deeper than plugs with flanges so the wing nut does not become an obstruction.

I took the old one off and placed this Oatey plug in the 4 inch pipe. The next thing I saw was it disappearing as it went down the pipe and splashed into the tank. IT HAS NO x#!%$^& FLANGE TO PREVENT IT FROM FALLING DOWN THE PIPE. I took the flange off the old one and put on the second Oatey I had bought so I could use it on my leech field pipe. Its a lie when they say " End-of-pipe seals only at the end of a pipe, preventing plug from falling into stack."Wasted money I will never see again

Worked great for capping an old cast iron soil pipe for a toilet.

My mother in laws basement floods every time there is a hard rain. It's been going on for years. The nearby school and large parking lot dumps too much water into the storm drains and it backs up into the houses until enough drains out of the system. Everything in the basement was up on blocks. she had her furnace raised, but sometimes the water still gets to it. They gave up and accepted it long ago. I knew there had to be a solution. I got these for her and her basement hasn't flooded. She is very happy.

Easy way to plug a line

Beautifully made product. It does the job it was designed to do. Get the one with a larger diameter plastic end so that you don't lose it down the pipe if that is a concern.
