Great for review or to learn
I've been a monitor technician for 20+ yrs. Now I'm advancing my career, I've chosen this book for reference. All information is clear for a new or experienced audience. Great detail. The only thing I wished was there was a part 2 for more in depth interpretation for ecg :)

Very good breakdown
This is my 3rd EKG interpretation book of purchase. The other 2 from other authors were not that good. This book is much easier to follow and breaks down the explanations. The chapters are separated well. Other than a couple of errors with the quiz answers, I am finding this book to be really helpful. I am still going through it. Each chapter has a short quiz which is great. There are some illustrations which makes following along really helpful. I'd like to see more as I am a visual learner. However, as I prepare for my NP boards and practice, I find this book to be really helpful and worth the price.

Amazing study tool!!
I got this book to ease myself into EKGs before going to school and it is very informative. There are some worksheets so you can check on your learning along the way. A lot of visuals and plenty of explanations are provided.

For nurses not ekg students
This book didn’t help me at all in my ekg class to become a tech. It was to advanced for a reg tech.

I finally read this book 6 years later
I bought this for whatever reason as a non medical person going into an EMT course thinking it may help me. Obviously it was Greek to me and I put it aside. I then began an EMT Advanced course and cracked the book again after completing the registry exams. It made sense more than the first time but only read 10% of the book and maybe understood and retained 10% of the information so in total, I understood 1% of the book LOL. I knew normal sinus, sinus Brady, sinus tach, atrial fibrillation, VT and VF, and asystole lol. I put it down. Two years later I started nursing school. I tried to read it again. I gave up. I had too much on my plate. After becoming a nurse, I was hired due to EMS experience and a high GPA straight to a my states largest hospital into its Cardiac Intensive Care Unit. I oriented for 8 months and finally picked up the book after being on my own. Of course with time and experience in the unit, I was exposed to so much information and so many complex cases. All of a sudden, this book was a GOLD MINE. In conjunction with using LITFL online, this book was the Bible of cardiology. Of course, you have to want to learn and seek to know more than just what’s in the book. Since, I have read this book front to back five times resolidifying my knowledge and skills and applying them in real life care. This book really helped sew it all together and I’m so thankful I purchased it. I highly highly highly recommend this to any person working specifically in cardiac critical care, paramedics, medical students, and any doctors going into cardiology or actively working cardiology. I keep this in my work bag to refer to almost daily. Great read!
