Great fan for keeping flys away while eating outside. Love the flexibility of the shaft and the blades are not ones to cut or cause a mark if you stick your hand in the way. Looks good and stable design. Good quality product for the price.

I ordered these with very low expectations, but they are drastically reducing the number of flying insect pests in a common outdoor stairway area in my building. I’ve also taken one of these to a few different outdoor picnic areas, and have been completely un-bothered by flies/mosquitoes/yellowjackets which have previously been an issue in those same locations.The fold-out hook on the bottom gives some options for “permanent” installations, and it’s nice they can be powered by either two AA batteries or by a USB cable. A small solar panel will provide enough power to run one of these.

Bought these because I liked the idea of being able to recharge using cable and not need to use batteries. Unfortunately what is not said is that it doesn’t ‘charge’…. has to be connected to the charger to run, which is not likely to be near a charger when using, especially as the charging cable is only about 12” long. Worthless. Works fine on batteries. Is relatively quiet and like that can be bent to different angles. Great for flies if use enough of them (comes with 3) and mosquitoes. Don’t know how effective on wasps/hornets. Assume not strong enough to deter them. Not aware yet how long batteries will last at this point. Only have used 1 time. Bought another set for a gift.

Was traveling in the Caribbean and saw someone eating at an outdoor table with one of these - he was the only one not shooing away flies because of this. Came back home and bought this right away - and it's been working great when we eat outside. Yay!

The media could not be loaded. My friends and I were at a restaurant and we were having a fly issue so we asked for something to cover our food. The lady brought out one of these and I absolutely loved it so I went home and got on Amazon and found this set! This is a game changer because I love to eat or drink my coffee outside on my patio and I am tired of the flies, getting to my coffee in between sips. I can even walk back in the house and come out and no flies or anywhere near my coffee cup. I love that you can angle them in different ways so if you have a larger cup that doesn’t fit under it, you can tilt it so it doesn’t hit the cup and it still works!

I'll be honest, I was very skeptical of these things. However, we took them to a recent company picnic and set them up near the fruit bowl where the flies tend to congregate. We fired them up and low and behold they actually seemed to keep the flies away. Granted it looked a little strange, but when everyone saw how well they were working, several people ordered some immediately. They are super simple to setup, require simple batteries, and are extremely portable. You don't have to worry about gross sprays or if anyone remembered to cover the dish. These should help to keep the flies out of you way for picnics, etc. I definitely recommend a set for anyone who spends much time outdoors.

This was great to use outside when we have family dinner on the patio. The height is perfect to be near food but unfortunately we either have really pesky flies or we need more fan but they didn’t completely stay away. The fans are not super fast but seem to deter some flies. Maybe I was expecting a miracle but these help for sure, just not 100%.
