Very nice range finder
When I cracked open the box of this golf rangefinder, boy, was I blown away! Talk about getting more bang for your buck - the quality of both the packaging and the product is top-notch. Perfect for treating yourself or as a snazzy gift for someone else. The feel of the rangefinder is slick - smooth to the touch and looking pretty swanky in color. I’m totally digging its rechargeable design - a huge step up from my old battery-operated one.Inside the box, you’ve got everything you need: a lens cloth, instructions, a zippered hard case, a lanyard, a metal key ring, a USB-C charging cable, and a nifty metal belt clip. But the real cherry on top? That magnetic strip. It snaps onto my golf cart like it was made for it, and the belt clip is just the ticket for easy carrying.Performance-wise, this baby is quick on the draw with a crystal-clear screen. Flagpole locking is a breeze with a little buzz to let you know you’re spot on. And the accuracy? Spot-on within a yard, give or take. I double-checked with a tape measure, and it’s the real deal. All in all, this rangefinder’s a steal. I'm more than happy to recommend it to my fellow golfers. Can’t wait to make it a regular in my golf bag at the next tourney. It’s definitely going to be a staple in my golf gear.

Working very well as desired
I have been largely playing golf with a Garmin Golf GPS, but thinking for a while to add a range finder for more precise reading. Finally I bought this after a friend recommended this (and a reasonable price:). Shipping was fast and only took 3 days to arrive. It came fully charged so I could start using it right out of the box. The package included all the right accessories as well, carrying case, charging cable, magnetic clip to easily hang on the golf bag, and even a nice ball marker.Today I used it first time on an 18-hole round and compared it to my Garmin G80 golf GPS as well as my friend's rangefinder. I am glad to say that I definitely bought the right one. The experience was very positive. The views were very clear. The distance reading matched my GPS very well plus the benefits of slope reading and variation of flag locations (the GPS only tells me the distance to the center and the front/back edges of the green). The rangefinder has a flagpole lock function and it always worked very well to find the poles for the right distance reading. After the 4 hours play, the battery looks still full so no need to worry about charging frequently. Definitely looking for many more rounds of plays with this in the coming months and years.

Great range finder - lots of features and a couple of surprises
What is it?The Deason Laser Rangefinder is a compact handheld rangefinder. It is water resistant, has an onboard lithium ion 750mAh battery charged with USB-C connector. The rangefinder weighs just over a lb.Apart from range finding, it has flagpole lock, slope indication (can be switched off to comply with USPGA and R&A rules on outside assistance), plus it can measure speed from 11-188 mph (although this has to be an object that you can maintain a lock on but must be less than a 10 degree angle - practically this can't be a golf ball but could be a car). Also if you have slope measurement on, it can also calculate a compensation for the flight of a golf ball (therefore indicating a corrected distance for an uphill target).I generally don't use slope compensation and I'm a bit sceptical still about the ballistic compensation of the ball flight as it depends on the club - the trajectory of a 5 iron going into a green is going to be much flatter and likely to bounce through the green than say using a lob wedge aiming pin high and generating a lot of back spin (even more so with a flop). What's in the box?Rangefinder, USB C charging cable, a handy carry case, lanyard, carabiner mount, lens cloth, belt mount and a ball marker. Plus it has an operating manual. Is it easy to use?Yes - the power/measure button is easily accessed and the display is simple to read out in yards and feet and where applicable mph. It does not have a metric mode for metres - which would be handy as I'm having to calibrate into yards as whilst they are close they are different enough to be significant (135 meters is 147 yards which is a 8 iron for me but 147 metres would be 161 yards which would be a 7 iron for me).Is it accurate? The lens is 6x magnification so it makes it easier to line up the flag. The testing I did suggest that it was consistent with distance range finding and the flagpole lock was handy. It is apparently accurate out to 1300 yards which was outside the scope of playing golf as most par 5s are about half that distance - may be useful if you used the range finder for shooting.Anything else I need to know? There's a side magnet to attach it to a golf cart although I'd probably put it back in the case. It's not immersion proof but water resistant. In summary this is a feature packed range finder at a very attractive price.

Unreliable , unusable after 6 months
The product was fine initially. However after using for about 6 months the flaws began to show up. It failed to capture and lock pin all the time especially for for over 100m. When the sky is a little darker it is basically useless too.Don’t waste your money. It’s by far the worst golf accessory I have ever owned.

Great rangefinder for the price. Easy to use and accurate.
Took this rangefinder and used it for the first time. Distance with the slope seemed accurate. Went with a friend who knows more than me and it was comparable to his more expensive rangefinder. Seemed to pick up the flag easy and provide easy readings.
