Work well - basically a Clarks M4
Pretty good stopping power, but super annoying to align with the disk so it's running free - possibly because one side of the block doesn't retract as much as the other side. Be careful when installing, as the pads that come with it can chip - made that mistake taking the wheel off and on trying to fit the thing. Also, not sure what pads these actually use, but clarks's website has a guide with regard to variation. I've done one run with them, and they're much better than cable. Just be careful not to slam as it will lock the wheels. :D

No instructions or indication of what fluid is used, but good quality and well made
I wouldn't be without hydraulic brakes on my mountain cycle, in my experience they are way more reliable than cable brakes. The problem I've always had with cables, is that they tend to fail quickly, whereas the first sign of fluid leakage on hydraulics is warning enough to overhaul them. That said, the only time I've had that happen is when I've either made the mistake of pumping the lever with the pads removed (doh!) or due to cable damage. These are a nice enough pair which are already set up and fully bled. They have relatively small brake pads but work well to stop the wheel turning. Quality wise they seem on a par with other sets I've fitted, good quality all metal housings with decent and sturdy mounting brackets. The downside on these is that there are no instructions, so nothing to show how to remove the pads (via a small hex screw), or what kind of fluid is used (is it mineral oil or dot?), or what spec the pads are for when they need to be replaced (after 5000 odd miles if previous use is anything to go by).The listing is also slightly incorrect, specifying the front as the longer hose and the rear as the shorter, which is the wrong way round. But overall, an acceptable set for a little under £60.

Excellent brake set for the price
This is a very good value set of 4-piston hydraulic disk breaks. They arrived pre-bled, so could be installed straight onto the bike. The overall quality of the hoses and of the machining is far better than I would have expected for less than £70 for the pair.Highly recommended.
