Claps requured
Good equipment well made. However it doesn't state that it doesn't come with any claps to clap it down into place.

It's okay
I folded 100mm wide 1.2mm stainless sheet on this with no difficulty. It's not the best finished product out there, it needs large G-Clamps to work well which aren't included - then again it's £40.

Of limited capability
This folder is not exactly a heap of junk compared with the claims made for it, but that is because no claims are really made for it. When the details say 17 gauge (which is presumably AWG not SWG, but anyway, around 1.4mm) and it specifies - umm - how wide? - well the "maximum sheet size" is 760mm. Don't expect to be able to fold a sheet of that width and that thickness. I folded a piece of 0.8mm x 200mm long with no trouble. When I tried to fold a piece 1mm thick with a width of 600mm there was no way it would cope. you would need massive G-clamps to stop the clamping plate from sliding backwards whilst the operation was performed. The pressure on the short levers nearly ruptured me. Expect only what the manufacturer promises - very little. I am going to try welding some bits on it to make it work because it is not much use as it stands. I expect to get low "helpfulness" scores for this review because people don't seem to want to be told the truth when it is bad news. Edit September 2013 - I was wrong about the last point! Glad to be of help.
