Sunny Twister Stepper with Handle Bar - great deal for the money!
I received this device about one month ago. This is the first stepper device I have ever used. I really like this device. Assembly was simple - just follow instructions carefully. All of the hardware is installed where it will be going after assembly, so you have to remove the bolts from the frame so there is no little bag of nuts & bolts. There is a bag containing batteries, computer cable, cable fishing device, and an allen wrench The only hardware item that is not installed to it's final location on the frame is the tension adjustment knob. That is in the styrofoam piece with the computer. Assembly requires only an allen wrench which is included. I used a small piece of tape when installing the computer cable as the wire kept sliding back in to the lower tube when I was trying to install it on the machine. This is the only thing that is missing from the instructions which would make assembly even easier. When you pull the computer cable through one of the tubes in the handle shaft simply tape it off at the top of the tube until you get the tube installed. They even include an item (cable fishing device) to make getting the computer cable from the step count sensor in the base of the device up through the handle shaft to the computer very simple! I believe this device design and packaging was very well thought out. You will probably be surprised when you see how small the shipping package is. Don't let this concern you because it is small because of the way the parts are placed inside. I bought this device to help with my diabetes. I cannot walk for exercise and am out of shape. I needed a low-impact exercise like stepping. I could barely do 30 seconds on this thing initially. After using it fairly regularly for a 3 - 4 weeks I am up to 30 minutes a day and can see the decrease in my blood sugar and my physical stamina has increased. My goal is to do 60 minutes per day. I weighed ~ 240 lbs which is 10 lbs under the weight limit for this device of 250 lbs. I did read in one review about a guy who weighed 320 lbs and had no problems until after six months. At six month a weld broke. Considering he was 70 lbs over the weight limit for the device I am impressed. I myself now weigh 220 lbs. Weight loss was due to both exercise and a healthier diet. I Bought this particular stepper primarily because of the low price. I wasn't sure if I would actually be able to use one of these steppers and I don't need an $800 towel rack. This device has a very small footprint and is not too heavy to move before & after exercising with it. I keep mine in my bedroom which is only 10 x 10 and contains a queen size bed, a night stand, two bureaus, and an armoire. The bedroom was tight before I bought his device and I thought I would have to keep it outside the bedroom, but, it fits in nicely. I simply move it out of the corner and put it in front of the TV to watch while stepping and move it back when done. The small computer on this device is a big help. It keeps track of time and counts (# steps). I don't believe the calorie count that is reported is correct. It seems low when compared to some formulas I found on line for stepper exercise. I am not sure how much use I will get out of this thing before it breaks, but, I think it looks reasonably heavy-duty especially for a cost of $63.99 including shipping! I was very skeptical about the device's robustness at that price I was very pleased when I opened the shipping carton up and got a first hand look at the quality of the device. It looks reasonably robust which actually surprised me. I see no reason why this device shouldn't last me quite some time. I have not tried varying the resistance so I cannot comment on that - I am using it with minimal resistance and that is enough for me. I initially purchased this device for evaluation thinking that if I actually used it then I could buy a more expensive one. Now after using this device for a while I don't believe I will need to do that. I believe I should be able to use this device 30-60 minutes every other day for years as long as the device is lubricated regularly. I have not heard the funny noises that a couple of other reviewers have mentioned, but, most of them seemed to be using the device for a longer time than I do in each session. If you are looking for a medium duty stepper that is inexpensive with a simple computer then this device is ideal! I cannot imagine getting a better deal for the money! This is the first review I have ever written for a product purchased online. I wrote it because I wanted to help people out who are considering purchasing one of these. Do it - you will not be disappointed! That is if you actually use it and don't turn it into a towel or clothing rack. Either way for the cost of $65 including shipping it is worth the risk and I hope this review helped. Happy stepping.

I've only had it one day and I love it...
I just received the Sunny Twister Stepper yesterday. It took me about 15 minutes to put it together. Assembly was very easy. I panicked at first because I didn't see any bags of screws but they were all already in place. Thats good quality control measure if you ask me. The manufacturer doesnt have to worry about counting screws, just inspect the parts to make sure theyre all in place... and that they actually in place. I gave it a couple of steps last night and decided to actually work out this morning. Now, I'm FAR from a gym head. Ive been thinking about going back but I've kinda become a germ-a-phobe and gyms are like viral incubators in my opinion. So I wanted something inexpensive, that doesnt take up a lot of space and was quiet. This fits all of what I was looking for. It provides just the right amount of resistance for you to work on your stamnlina and endurance. I actually feel the burn in my legs and inner thigh. I love how it doesnt just step in a boring up and down motion. It actually goes side to side. Not so much like twisting but more like swaying, or skiing. Either way its pretty effective for a machine that costs less than $100. It makes virtually no noise however I would suggest using it on a carpet or a pad if you have hardwood floors. It doesn't have wheels but its light enough for you to move about as you need with little effort. It also has a small footprint and can be stored in a closet or a corner quite easily. The build quality ia suprisingly better than expected. The little step counter seems pretty accurate. I was actually counting along with it until I started really sweating. I've already recommended this to a friend of mine as we're encouraging eachother to get fit and lose weight. Heres the thing, if you're a gymbody, this probably isn't for you because it doesnt have enough resistance to match the equipment that you'll find at the gym. But if you're someone like me, who hasnt seen the inside of a gym in years and want to be able to start at home, I think you'll be pleased with this stepper. I know I am.

Nice low profile machine, good value
I've had this a month or two now and I like it. The upright part of it isn't exactly 100% stable, but all I mean is that it moves around a little, not that it would ever break or anything: I can still hold onto it to balance myself safely. Can't get the display to be super accurate in terms of the time elapsed, somehow, but that doesn't bother me. It provides good resistance, and is low profile which is what I had wanted.

Sturdy, Easy to Assemble, Good Cutomer Support
I read quite a few reviews before buying this, as I don’t have much room in my place and this is the first major piece of excercise equipment I have bought. It was fairly easy to assemble- easier than a DVD holder in my opinion. The base comes fully assembled so you only have to connect a cable, the column and , the small computer (by pulling wire through the column), and attach the handle bar. All the bolts are in place and you unscrew and screw them with the wrench provided. I found this very helpful. I did call customer service with a question and got help immediately and received a helpful answer. I recommend reading the manual because some people talked about missing parts and a screeching noise. A sticker tells you were the parts are and the manual tells you to lubricate a certain part if you hear screeching - it’s in the care section in the back. The stepper is sturdy and holds my weight well. I had to use low resistance to start, as this works the muscles harder than an exercise bike. I found it easy to use, but I’ll have to build up to it, as my first workout was 3 minutes. I have a disability which may impact my experience , so others may find they can start out with stronger resistance. My disability affects my balance and I am very happy to see that I can balance on the wide steps and the handlebars provide plenty of support. I can use this to strengthen my muscles and I can feel it in my waist as well, so I know it works many muscles. This stepper takes up a very small space but is works like a large stepper, minus the acesending feature higher priced steppers have, which I don’t want. It is also light enough for most people to move or slide around when you want to take it from one room to another. This is perfect for apartments or people who want to save space. Very happy with it.

Better Workout Than Expected, BUT.....
It is so difficult to find the right fitness equipment because of reviews being all over the place! I really wanted to get a treadmill, but I didn't want to spend nearly $200 on a cheap motorized treadmill that's mainly meant for walking. I wanted to move quick (like at the gym). So after much contemplating, I decided on this because the price and it seemed like a small elliptical (which I always got a good work out from). It definitely beat my expectations in almost all ways. With my husbands help, it was fairly easy to put together and it feels nice and sturdy. The box it came it was pretty small, so it's not a big lift at all. Once it's put together, it's easy to move around (even up and down stairs and i'm not that strong). I turned the knob on the front to the tightest setting so you get the most resistance and "quickest" workout. Within 2 minutes on this thing, my legs are really burning. Just 10 minutes on this, i'm sweating pretty good and ready to stop! Every day on this thing will DEFINITELY create results and that is exciting! This thing is also fairly short (4 feet?) and it's easy to "hide" it away. I definitely recommend this for anyone under 6" to get a great workout!! Worth the money, definitely. UPDATE: I lost interest in this piece of equipment after a few weeks...this just isn't challenging your body enough to guarantee great results. My recommendation to anyone looking to get in shape at home is buy a program from beachbody.com. They do the popular programs like T25, Insanity & P90x...don't let that scare you though, they have many other programs. I'm on day 13 of 21 Day Fix (along with Shakeology) & it's a great program that helps you eat right & exercise hard (but not impossibly hard!). The success rate on these programs are VERY high. You can get most of the work outs done in 30 minutes. THAT'S what i recommend! This machine will not get you very far. Your body needs variety (your WHOLE body) & to be pushed & this equipment can't offer that. Be blessed!

Easily the Best & Easiest Piece of Equipment for Your Home
EDIT: I bought a 2nd one. This is in my bedroom behind my desk and I get on it every hour for 20 minutes with CNN on the TV. While it is portable I got another one for the family room. That makes it very convenient to use in the evenings when I am in that room for several hours. At this price .. it is worth having two of them. This is the best of all my in-home exercise equipments .. and I love my treadmill. THIS stepper, every morning I put it behind my desk chair and every hour I get on it for 5-8 minutes. CNN on the TV and I take a break from sitting. That's why this is the clear winner. I don't even dress for it. I have solid slippers and I just step away, taking a break from all the sitting. I'm 5'9" about 145 and this is the perfect stepper. I chose it for the high looking hand grip in the pictures and it didn't disappoint; this is a game changer. You can be 6' tall on this and it will be fine. You could probably be 6'2" also. I can lean over if I need to but I doubt somebody over 6' or 6"2" can do that. Oh well. I bought this to strengthen my quads and move my butt. It is perfect for this. People here have written that you can't go 15-20 mins at max as it will heat up. That's probably true. 5-10 min an hour is my plan. Down the road I might make it 10-15 mins. Time will tell. I looked at 75+ steppers on Amazon and this was the clear winner. Not just because the price is reasonable but it is one of the very few with the hand rail being so high + a very very large foot pad. Highly recommend.

Great stepper for the money!
I never thought I would love one of these little steppers so much! I have some hip issues and needed something to strengthen my muscles and chose this. Assembly was fairly easy. Very small footprint and pretty light, easy to move around. I do wish I had got one with resistance bands but I ordered a pair I can hook to this stepper. It does warm up but I find if I increase resistance and stay slow and steady, I can go at least fifteen minutes without it getting really hot. I haven't pushed it beyond that yet. The app is okay, if you have a smart watch, I don't know if you really need the "smart" version of this stepper. All in all, superb stepper for the money.

It's an "exercise" machine that you can't "exercise" on for longer than 10 minutes!
I thought the price of this compact little stair stepper might be too good to be true, and it certainly was. Bought it in Feb 2014, and it broke by May 2014. Many other people have claimed it only lasts for a few months or so, and they're totally correct! DO NOT waste your money; this is a piece of junk that WILL break on you in only a few months! When I first put it together and started using it, I loved how easily portable & lightweight it was. It worked great for a little while, but it squeaked with every. single. step. and that was annoying, but we put some WD-40 on it and it helped quiet the squeaking, but only a little. But then the entire cable that moves the steps up & down just snapped with no warning one day while I was on it. This cable is crucial to the entire operation of the machine, and so now it's completely broken & worthless. In the packaging that comes with the stair stepper, it says to only use the machine for about 10 minutes a day, which is fine if you're just beginning to work out, but I was needing something to give me a good long workout, so I was trying to use it for around 30 minutes each time, sometimes stopping after 15 minutes of use to let the thing "rest" before continuing. This was, apparently, too much for it to take, and it broke. So yes, while I did not follow the instructions to the letter, I'd also seen many other reviewers saying they used it for 20-40 minutes each time and it was doing just fine! So I wonder if their machines are still working now? So the point is, this is supposedly an EXERCISE machine that cannot let you EXERCISE on it for longer than 10 minutes or so! Like I said before; it's a cheap piece of junk. Don't waste your money! Oh, and the return policy is only good for 1 week after purchase. I just looked it up because I tried to return it. That's convenient!

A ejercitarse!!!
A ejercitarse!!!!

Fits the Bill!
We’ve had this stepper for almost 2 months now and are quite pleased with it. Since I’m retired and spend much of my day sitting at a computer, piano or sewing machine, I knew I needed more activity in my life. Also, the winters where we live are quite long and often it’s too miserable to go out for a walk. After reading about the health detriments caused by extended periods of little movement, I wanted an exerciser with a small footprint, was movable and doable for my age and fitness level. The Sunny Stepper fits the bill. I set a timer to ring every 30 to 45 minutes, then I mount the Stepper and do at least 5 minutes of activity, then reset my timer for my next ‘workout’. Sometimes for more of a workout, I swing my arms as if running, with elbows bent, or swing my arms as when walking. (Make sure you have the balance to do this). I usually turn on the TV, or have my iPad/phone with me during the exercise time to keep my mind ‘off’ exercising so I workout longer and often have found myself doing 10 minutes without realizing it. One benefit I have noticed is the increase in strength of my legs. I always run when taking the stairs, whether at home or out, but noticed this past year it was becoming difficult to do. The steps seemed ‘too high’. I realize now, that it was the loss of muscle mass in my legs that was causing this weakness. After 2 months, I can once more run up the stairs and our front steps to the house don’t feel ‘so high’. I am not a particularly fit person, though I was in my youth. I try to walk about 45 minutes a day, weather permitting, and like that this Stepper fills the gaps. I also have some autoimmunity, which means the ‘warrior’ aerobic classes I used to enjoy in my 40’s, are a ‘no-no’, not that I could do them now anyway. Small movement, gentle, but consistent exercise is a must. My husband is at a desk all day but has the advantage of being able to frequently get up and move around. At night he would just crash on the sofa after dinner for the entire night, but now he gets up and works out on the machine as well. Some logistics... I put the unit together by myself in 40 minutes, from opening the box to completion. I am able to lift the unit and move it, but prefer to keep it where it is, as it is a bit awkward. The steps will feel ‘firm’ if your muscles are weak, like mine were, but hey, that’s what you’re working on right!? We haven’t tightened the manual resistance knob. The tension at it’s least position is fine for us. I’m more interested in working longer, not harder. I’m 5’3”, husband 5’8’ and the support handles are comfortable for both. Neither of us bother with the digital readout display. As many others have noted, it really doesn’t provide adequate or consistent enough information to be of any value. Besides, you can tell by your strength and clothes that it’s working. That’s it. Quality unit at an excellent price. If you have hardwood or laminate floors, place the unit on a mat. It’s heavy enough that it won’t move while working out, but it will scratch your floors if you you reposition it.

Se mueve mucho el manubrio
Es funcional, cumple las expectativas en cuanto el ejercicio que se realiza. Solo que el manubrio se mueve mucho, así que mejor no sujetarse.
