Very nice globe. It is well made and labeled correctly. The small size is perfect for my bookshelf but still large enough to read easily. I highly recommend this globe.

i can remember when I was a kid, I was always fascinated by the Globe sitting on the bookcase in the Geography classroom. I loved looking at each continent, all the countries, and how they related to each other on a global scale.Ever since those days, decades ago, I've longed to have a globe of my own. I know I could never afford a 'scientific' globe like we had in school. Those cost hundreds of dollars, IF you can still find them!I found this 8" globe from JOHWOL quite by mistake. I don't remember what I was shopping for, when I spotted this. (Amazon is good for leading you to other ideas for purchases.) But, after I read a little about it and saw the price, I couldn't resist it.I will admit, I was a little skeptical about it being only 8" in diameter. The globes I saw, back in the day, seemed huge to me. But I was very pleasantly surprised as to how good this one looks and how detailed it is for it's size. 8" is a lot larger than you think, when it comes to something like this.Not only is it detailed enough to see many of the countries on each continent, most of the borders are up to date with the current political boundaries. All of the wording is easy to read. The globe itself is very well made. The stand is very sturdy. All of the colors are bright and clear.My wife and I are planning many intercontinental voyages. It's nice to look at this globe, as we plan, to get a visual on the distances. In one of the pics, I point out where we live. How fun is that?We're very happy with this new addition to our display case and object of learning.

It is the perfect night li ch t. Only issue is eventually the light inside starts flickering and won’t stop. And there’s no way TJ change the lightbulb. You should make the lightbulb replaceable! Then 5 stars!

The media could not be loaded. Got this for my son as one of his Christmas presents. It comes in its own box, so it's also great for gifting. It's not too big or small, but I love it because I remember as a kid I use to see globes on teachers' desks, and I think it's also very educational too. This will go perfectly with my little home setup that I have for school breaks. The quality is excellent, the print is clear and easily readable, and a nice weight to it too, and spins easily.

I only gave this 3 stars because of a detail they added to that globe that's strange to me.The equator is very accentuated. It raised above the surface of the globe and taped over with a clear plastic covering. It's really weird.Other than that, I like its size and detail. Looks pretty good on my desk. It's a little small as far globes go, but, I knew that when I bought it.I guess down deep, I'm not really very happy with it.

Got this as a gift for my grandson and he absolutely loves it the light inside makes it glow and so much easier to read.
